Christmas Cop


On Christmas morning, a cop on horseback sits at a traffic light next to a kid on a shiny new bike.

The cop says to the kid, "Nice bike you got there. Did Santa bring that to you?"

The kid says, "Yeah."

The cop says, "Well, next year, tell Santa to put a tail light on that bike."

The cop then issues the kid a $20 bicycle safety violation ticket.

The kid takes the ticket and says, "By the way, that's a nice horse you got there. Did Santa bring that to you?"

Humoring the kid, the cop says, "Yeah, he sure did."

The kid says, "Well, next year tell Santa to put the d**k underneath the horse, instead of on top."

Just got home from a bereavement dinner for a good friend and very talented musician.  Rest In Peace Doug Ashby you are now free from pain and I know you're up there playing music with Jerry Garcia.  You will be missed.   :'(

Hope everyone is prepared for that nasty cold weather that's supposed to hit Sunday and Monday.  Sure doesn't sound good.  At least I'm smart enough not be goin' out in it this time like I did in the early 80's when we had weather like this.  Went to a friends house who lived about 15miles away for chili and ended up having to stay the night.....Won't be doin' that this time....  :no: :no: :no: :no:  They live in Ky now but I told her not to even bother to ask this time 'cause I ain't goin'.....lol

Must be gettin' over that bug.  Couldn't sleep I was so hungry so I'm up eating Oatmeal Squares and drinking coffee.  Slept most of the last week and a half and didn't have much of an appetite, never ran a fever but felt like crap, still stuffy and have a bit of a cough but feeling almost human again.  Hubby's about a day behind me on this so he should be feeling better by Monday.

I finally finished the David McCullough book on John Adams. I learned a lot about Mr. Adams and his wife. Maybe I will read another one of his books later this year. I also read a book by a new author, to me anyway, Home Front by Kristin Hannah. It is about a female helicoptor pilot in the NG who was deployed to Iraq. Lots of info about PTSD in it.

Glad you're feeling better. Sounds like you had the same thing I had for Thanksgiving, except that I had a temperature and had to see a doctor, who gave me an antibiotic, which gave me bad diarrhea, so had to see another doctor ....  :(

Thanks Libby.  I think I'm pretty much over it and so is hubby.  We're still feeling more tired than usual but I guess that's to be expected.  I'm just glad we didn't get it as bad as some I've heard about.
