Nope.  It was standing right beside me.  I could have grabbed it by the neck.

Some WVians and Marylanders still without power after the storm LAST week. That's crazy! I can't imagine how they're surviving in this heat w/out power.

And if that was at your house you will wish you had sometime soon. It'll be honking and crapping all over your lawn.  :icon_twisted:

They can be, but that one isn't.  I don't think swans are quite as aggressive as geese unless it's mating season.

Yeah. . . we'll see how mute it is when it decides you or something else is a threat. They can be a lot more aggressive than Canada Geese from what I've read, and if you hear them hissing you had better retreat. . .  :icon_twisted:

Stand your ground, grab it by the neck and hold it.  After awhile it will realize you're not going away.  I know it works on big geese and I'm not going to goose you to get your attention.

Exactly.  If it gets pissed off at you, you have to let it know who's the boss.  ;D

I grabbed a goose by the neck one time when it was charging at my nephew back when he was 5 years old.  It backed off pretty damn quick.      He wasn't even bothering them.  He was just playing with a ball in a park.

I have kind of a goose phobia ;D

Growing up, we had two geese. Because we never ate them, I always assumed they were mom's pets. Anyway, they would hide and wait for me to come out to go to the bus, then they would chase me flapping their wings, hissing and nipping at my legs all the way to the gate. Mom thought it was humorous, I guess the geese did too. I did not.
