I didn't know that was the venue of his last concert.  How long until he died after that last concert?

He died August 16th.  He was supposed to leave that evening to start another tour.....

He didn't die, he just went home. (Men in Black)  ;D  He wasn't my favorite but I loved his voice.

There were a few of his songs I really liked but for the most part I didn't care for him.

The best thing I ever heard Elvis do (but it wasn't really Elvis, just somebody who sounded just like him) was Dread Zeppelin. That was really cool! A reggae band doing Led Zeppelin songs with a 300-pound Elvis impersonator.

When I first heard and saw Elvis in action, I couldn't stand him, but but changed my mind a little bit after my mother passed away and we found her portable radio/tape player with one tape: Elvis singing Amazing Grace. It was emotional for me because that was the song played at her funeral (not by Elvis). Later on I learned from a Gaither program about Elvis that shows up on PBS now and then that the young Elvis sang southern gospel before he became famous.

My late mother and my brother always liked him. He made me want to puke. . . but that's just me. Your results may, and probably will, vary.

This really is a random thought...

I was driving home the other day and I see a bright red fox run across the highway. No one was behind me so I slowed to watch him thinking how beautiful he was and how happy I was to have the opportunity to check him out. He turned to look at me and I thought about how intelligent his eyes looked and hoped that he was as lucky the next time he crosses. He ran off and I drove off.

I'm in an office building today that has the automatic lights that come on as you walk down the hallway (motion sensitive). There's not a lot of people so they weren't staying on and I was turning them on as I advance to my destination. I saw something making it's way across the carpet and slowed to look. It was a cockroach the size of my big toe. I immediately thought ...WTH! What's that creepy thing doing here? Where's the exterminator? How am I getting past it? (I can't kill bugs...seriously it's a phobia).

We're much more forgiving of wildlife presence than insect presence. ;D

When you step on a cockroach of that size, they sound like a firecracker going off!
