Oh wow, I hope my ex MIL and SIL's are ok.  That's the area they live in.  I am still quite close to the ex SIL's.  Was to the MIL but she is in the late stages of Alzheimers now and not the same person I knew and loved.  :'(

This weekend is Indiana's  FREE FISHING weekend! No license (tax) required to wet your lines this weekend!  :yes:

  Salmonie Lake won't be to good for fishing.  20 feet over pool stage and full of logs and brush.  The water is muddy and if you catch a fish it will have to find it with it's white cane with the red tip.  Because they won't be able to see it of smell it.  Not much boating or fishing with this high water.  :music1: Ain't going fishining :music1:  This weekend :music1: :fish: :titanic:

My father would have begged to differ with you on that one. He and I experienced some of our best cat fishing trips under just such conditions!!!

Same holds true for the "high profile predators" as well. That lateral line is better than eyesight!

  That should bring back old memeorys of the days when the cars didn't have A/C.  Going down the highway 60 miles an hour with them down on a hot day and the wind noise so bad you couldn't hear the radio.

  But there is one thing I still miss is the little vent window on the door windows.  It would sure be nice of a nice day to drive with the windows down, put out the little wing vents and not have all of that wind coming in.  :bike:   :biggrin:

Ya, they really need to start putting those back in.  The put solid ones in so what would be so hard about putting a couple of hinges, or even one, and a handle on it?  Those little air vents that opened out on the side wouldn't be bad either.  :biggrin:  My uncle always said his a/c was 4 down and 40.  Bet you know what he meant don't ya Troll?   :biggrin:

  Oh yes.  I remember one vacation with my dad and mother.  We were in his new 1949 Ford.  We were Texas and it was a 100 degrees.  We had all of the windows down and doing 60.  Yes 4 down and 60 and we still burnt up.   :yes: :wink:

Saw a huge fire off to the east of the road I was traveling through Delaware county, and tons of emergency equipment rolling that way. I now understand a fire-fighter from Muncie has lost his life fighting that very fire; at a local church. . .

As the summer solstice approaches I am experiencing very mixed emotions this year.

That day would have been my late father's 75th birthday. And it also marks the one year anniversary of my late mothers crossing over. . .   :'(
