I hope that it's okay. At such a young age they're much more resillient physically than they will be when they get older.

When he's ignoring her? She attacks him. LOL So I figure it's all good.

Pugsly never bothers the cats. Dexter my kitten has been beating on Rosie my other kitten mercilessly. I've been on him for days. It's a good thing Sadie didn't get the kitten "in" the eye. It probably would have had to be enucleated and that's cashy.  :yes:

One of our "rescue job" cats from the pound is an incurable wanderer. He will NOT stay inside -- sneaking out whenever he gets the chance -- despite the fact that all four feet were declawed by some idiot vet.

Consequently, he gets into fights all the time, comes home with puncture wounds on his head, and has generated vet bills out the wazoo. We have more cat antibiotics than a house of prostitution.

But, ya gotta admire the survivor. (I'm not particularly a cat person, but I admire survivors, no matter what the species.)

Have you ever had a tom that bit another tom right above the tail? That is one of the most dangerous places a tom can get bit. The reason why toms bite each other there, is because they know that kind of bite, can cause the death of another tom. It's a hard wound to treat, and the severe infection can be deadly. I had one get bit, and I took him straight to the vet, they didn't have much hope,and told me to prepare myself, because I would probably lose him. I treated him at home with antibiotics oral, and ointment. He pulled through, but it was just luck that he survived.

That area gets infection easy. Basically, when the tooth punctures the skin it injects bacteria into the skin, and it can't drain the infection because of where it's at. An abscess forms, and it can't drain, and it gets in the bloodstream. By the time you know there is infection somewhere, it's usually too late to treat it, and it can cause death. I never knew any of that until it happened to my cat.  :no: Probably the only thing that saved JJ ,was that I saw it happen, and got him to the vets the next morning.

I just got back from the vet's about a half an hour ago. We're going to try to save the leg. The kitten got a steroid shot, and oral antibiotics. I half to massage his leg under warm water. If it doesn't work, it will have to be amputated. I guess it's old enough that it can survive surgery. My Vet is the best in the area. It's just a waiting game for now.

BTW.... I didn't think it was a bad joke. I have soooo many I can't even keep them straight sometimes LOL!!  :biggrin:
