I was off yesterday too. I love having that extra day, it makes the weekend seem SO long. :yes:

Well, I'll be in and out today. Sadly, a mommy cat abandoned her baby out in the yard, and I don't think it's gonna make it. I found it late last night,and brought it in, but it's too far gone. It did sleep all night, but if I had to guess it "might" live a couple more hours. I'm keeping it as comfortable as possible. I'm gonna take it outside pretty soon, and sit with it until it goes. It bothers me, but I'm not super attached to it. We have had soooo much of this type of thing recently, that I'm considering getting rid of my females. I just don't have the time, or energy to take care of the kittens they abandon. We have more strays showing up all the time, sometimes even weekly. I know it's because people can't afford to keep their pets, and they know( my reputation as a cat lady) that I don't turn starving animals away. The shelters are full, so I'm going to try to find homes for the mommies individually. I don't know what kind of luck I'll have.  :no: Unfortunately, with the economy the way it is, animals are the first innocent victims. Many many people have had to give up their beloved pets to be able to buy food and gas. It's a real shame that it has come to all of this.  :no:

Spent the entire day cruising around the countryside. . . Now I cruised my self to work for the night. . . :rolleyes:

Tan yes, relaxed not so much.  My best friend from college and her husband and 14 month old came.  I love spending time with them, but 7 days was about 4 days too long. 

I get it that your wife is the most wonderful person in the world.  I should know since we've known each other longer.  Why don't you put the weed down and change the baby once or twice. 

I get it that your baby is the most wonderful, smartest, cutest, and most social baby on the planet, but I've seen smarter, cuter, and more social babies making them even more wonderful!   :rolleyes:  I apparently know nothing about child development at the age of 14 months with my education degree and a bigillion friends here with babies of the same age.  Nope I know nothing.   :rolleyes:

This morning my friend was up early getting the car packed up so they could make the last leg of their trip home which is 9 hours away in a car with no air.  Hubby was all pissy about being up so early.  Whatever!  Get out of my house!  :rolleyes:

You know, from the outside looking in, I think it's kinda sweet that he's so into  his family, but I can also see why that would wear on my nerves after a while.

Has he known you very long? Maybe he just wanted to impress you with his love for his family to put your mind at ease that he appreciates your friend is is taking care of her heart.

I dunno, then again, maybe he's just a PIA. :biggrin:

I have actually known him for 10 years.  I think a little of it is his need to not impress people because that is not the right word, I guess justify his life style.  He can provide for his family being a part-time artist (sort of) but supplements his income in other ways.  I could care less.  I know she brings home the bacon.  The baby is well taken care of.  No big deal.
