Things have returned to normal in my computer world. Got me a troll.  YAY!! LOL Not here though.
Looks like I've come full circle.

kimmi

Ahhh!  Your very own troll.  Such fun!  ;D ;)

LOL yeah.  I noted it before, but didn't realize it was only at me until a few minutes ago.

And just because I will talk about most things that I don't see any reason to keep secret.

Everything hurts. It has been revealed to me that I am no longer the young buck I once was!

I'm getting a bit long in the tooth to be schlepping furniture upstairs, downstairs, and into the back of a truck!

I initially felt like day two of boot-camp. At one point I recall asking for someone to amputate my hands so they would stop hurthing last week!

I still own a tv set that is a 32 inch screen console, enclosed with a nice oak cabinet. After this move the next place that tv goes is out the window! No way I am moving that again if I can help it. :o

In contrast, we purchased a nice 42 inch HDTV and I can lift that thing all by myself! Heck, I can tote it around. But not that 32 incher!
Everyday when I wake up, I feel like I've aged ten years.

I was walking across the bridge, guess I made too much noise and the troll came out.

It's your mattress!

We bought a mattress made of that material "developed by NASA" and I have to say that everything they claim about those things is right! What a difference it has made. . . Been sleeping on it for two weeks now and while I couldn't tell the difference the first week due to my furniture schlepping, by the end of the second week I was convinced.

been writing lately myself...

nothing to be super proud of... but i'm glad the block is gone.  writer's block is a fate worse than death.  might even have some material for a children's poetry collection.  never done that before.

"We'll dance beneath a great white moon
It's sharky fins and toothy doom
Swimming slyly in the gloom
We'll race it home and to our room
Goodnight, Great White Sharky Moon"
(c) Melyssa G. Sprott 2007

working on the art for this one... my youngest loves it--it may never publish anywhere but my livingroom.
I like that poem allot. I don't see why you shouldn't put it in one of your books.

i called me wee mum.  they did a lung scope and biopsy today.  then learned a lung had collapsed--chest tube.

great.

and the school called me.  my oldest wee beastie lad cannot focus for the life of him.  i really don't want to medicate him.
don't threaten me with a good time.

kimmi

What is the wee lad eating at breakfast?  You'd be surprised how an adjustment in breakfast and lunch foods makes a world of difference!

But also as someone who is "medicated", life is way better for me and I have learned to deal when not medicated.  You can't learn to deal if your body never allows you to see the right way to deal.

Yikes  :spooked: I hope your Mom is going to be ok. How's you brother doing? Ok, I hope. I wouldn't rush to medicate him either. They push hyperactivity medicine allot these days. My friends little boy is on 3 different meds, for ADHD, ADD, and night terrors.  :spooked: He's only 6 years old,for cryin' out loud. His teachers wont even let him come to class, without his med patch on. I know some children are very difficult to deal with, and this kid is a monster, but it seems to me,   we're living in an over medicated world. When did little kids become such a handful, they need to be medicated? They actually prescribe anti depressants to children now too. What the hell happened?

frosted flakes.  lunch is usually a sandwich, pudding, yogurt, fruit cup, chips.  too much sugar maybe?

i think i might have no choice but to medicate.  he wanted to play video games after school.  i said, home work.  (not even 10 minutes home work.  20 spelling words written once.) it took him over an hour to do it.

i've been trying to help him focus.  i have ADD/ADHD that i've never been medicated for.  sure i go a thousand ways at once--but when channeled right, i get everything accomplished that i want to.

:(

@ dex:  my sister got him out of the house and walked with him to the jail to visit his friend who she is dating... (that's another screwed up story for another day.)  at least she got him to leave the house.  he was screaming at the top of his lungs the other day.  "what am i going to do?  she can't die."  etc.
don't threaten me with a good time.
