Good morning - I'm up early prepping for a race. It's a short one, but I'm really nervous about it. My last few races have been me running with newbies to introduce them to the sport and to give them some encouragement and support. Although this will be a fairly big race (for a local one) I'm not racing against the others, I'm racing against myself to see if I've improved and to see if I can push myself to a better finish.

The outcome? If I'm faster then I feel accomplishment . If I'm not, then I shrug and try again next time ;D

So being nervous is irrational :biggrin:

Good morning!

I spent the day at the beach yesterday with my daughter and her boyfriend. It was such a beautiful and perfect day and much needed. Living so close to the beach, I should spend more time there.

I did learn something about spray sunblock lol I prefer cream. I have white spots lol not patches, spots like a leopard (except white lol) I tan, but I use the sunblock to keep from getting too much sun. I don't want to look 20 years older lol

That it is, too fast. I really like this young man a lot. I haven't said anything but I always thought her first "love interest would be someone to intentionally tick me off. ;D
