Heading out to take Benji for a hike. I swear he knows, he's been whining and running to the door all morning (with the "lessgo" look not the "I gotta pee" look ;D)

Good morning! Sorry I've been MIA a couple days, my daughter and I were prepping for a race and squeezing in some school shopping. We ran yesterday. It was my daughters longest race (12 miles) and she did amazing. She was 4th in her age group.

Anyeay, I hope that you all have fun days planned for today. I'm getting ready to make some whole wheat/chia/flax banana waffles and head back to do more school shopping.

I know its still night lol but getting ready and turning in early. I'm running my 4th 1/2 marathon and my daughter is running her first. To be able to do this with her is beyond amazing. She inspires me by showing so much dedication to the training and relentless endurance running the long distances. Anyway, I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Lazy day for me. All kinds of things to do but ....  I needed a rest after yesterday. I was doing catch-up and the darndest thing happened. I went to the kitchen sink to wash a small heavy glass ball before putting it in a window where it could catch the evening sun. Turned the water on, put a little liquid hand soap on it and it was so slick it slid out of my hand and down into the disposal --  :confused: (I'd taken the trap out to clean the sink earlier.) Found out quickly that I could get my hand down and get hold of it, but couldn't get my hand out with the ball in it.  I tried all sorts of things but nothing worked, and all I could think of was that I'd have to pay a plumber to get the darned thing out!  Then I went looking into my serving utensils and found one more thing -- a serving spoon shaped like a dipper. It was just the right size, and I managed to get it through the flapper and under the glass ball, and lifted it right out! :bliss:
