The disparity between the punishment meted out to New Orleans and Pete Rose, verses that of the (gag) Patriots, demonstrates the opposite.  :yes:

And it would continue to do so if they'd just keep their religious beliefs at home and within their temples, instead of trying to impose it upon our government and business operations.  :wink:

"Everybody does it!"  And THAT'S the excuse you're actually going with when it comes to corruption in sports? 

Didn't your parents teach you just how BS that excuse is?  You know, the old "if everybody jumps off a cliff, would you do it?"

Dumb and juvenile is NOT a way to go through life.   :wink:

What the example should be is that the corruption or sports should be eliminated all up and down the line.

Sports are simply another opiate for the masses anyway.

Ole' Duke sez "sports may not be an opiate for the masses but they sure can be an opiate for those who participate in sports". Although they are distant memories now Ole' Duke can remember the exhilaration of participatin' in sports such as grabbin' a rebound , dunkin' the b ball, makin' an assist, completin' a double play, hittin' an occasional home run, scorin' a touchdown, makin' a tackle, celebratin' with  team mates, shakin' hands after winnin' or losin' etc.  Sports in their purest form are source of great joy for many. Professional sports have jaded that feelin' for me somewhat and collegiate sports for that matter as well.

I have to agree Duke and some elementary school sports are  awful. It is the parent living through the child instead of letting the child enjoy the sport. Not all athletes are going to be professional athletes.

Brady = cheater and liar. And now we understand he obstructed the NFL's investigation by not only refusing to give his cell phone to the investigators with agreed to restrictions, but destroyed the cell phone altogether!

Slap on the wrist, and the NFL gets a ratings boost via the return of its prodigal son via the very team he was caught cheating against.  :roll eyes:

Kraft will throw him a bone or two to make up for the loss of revenue via endorsement deals, but the reality is Brady's ego take a huge hit and that's why he's taking it to federal court. . .

They push this hard enough and I predict the league may very well find a way to put the entire organization on some kind of probationary status. . .

Because he / his team, is intimidated by any team that presents even the smallest chance of making the game a true competition. Teams with "branded" quarterbacks, wide receivers, and defensive players scare the crap out of Brady & Co. and they HAVE to cheat to ensure they rack up enough wins to get to the big show.  :rant:

Yes. But in a case of legal foreshadowing, the NFLPA filed that suit in Minnesota in an effort to get it in front of a favorable judge. However, Minnesota kicked sand into their face by refusing to hear it and sending it to New York.  :icon_twisted:

My guess is it will be summarily dismissed, or if it is heard the NFLPA will get the "thanks for playing" message!  :yes:
