I do.  But there's a difference between a robust and aggressive defense and trying to physically maim people, and rewarding should a successful maiming occur.

Right on!

I think it is unfortunate that Payton had to be the example, but like it was said, the Buck stops here.....and it is HIS team, and even if it was his defensive cooridnator leading this behavior....the head coach is the man to come down on.

If I was the NFL commish, I would say to all head coaches..........do not let me hear about this kind of crap again, or it will be a permanent dismisal from the league.

Now with all of that being said, I have a friend on FB who lives in New Orleans.  Pissed is an understatement for what he is right now.

and I do not blame him....I too, would be rather pissed...but, I think it may be the best call.  Put an end to it once and for all..the NFL cannot tolerate this.....Payton is the example.

The saints are about to become the ain'ts again, and it's their own doing. If the league is handing out such stiff penalties to mgmnt, they will expect the NFLPA to do the same; or should.

There are going to be brisk sales of paper bags over the next 3 to5 years in INDPLS and NO, because they will be required headwear at both stadiums.

The league missed the boat when they slapped the pats on the wrist for their cheating, so now they have to save face.

Sucks to be in Indy and NO now! Who's next?

Check out Pat Robertson's opinion about the Tebow ousting in Denver.

Seems he thinks it would serve everyone right if the Broncos were to lose their starting quarterback (due to the dump of the reigning xtian @ QB).

Does it seem right to wish that a career (or life) ending injury should be wished on someone because of a football contract?

Gotta love those compassionate xtians.
Ignorance and fanaticism are ravenous. They require constant feeding.

I think Indy will be rather exciting, at least this next year....I think Luck could generate a lot of excitement...IF, he can contribute NEARLY what is expected of him...but, we will see.  Indy fans ARE very fickle...so you may be right.

Well, no surprise here, the 700 Club has said an "injury to Manning would be Karma", due to his replacing Tebow. . .

Indianapolis Colts season ticket renewals have dipped to 87 percent, the first time they've fallen below 90 percent in a decade.

It begins. . . Guess Irsay forgot how Hoosiers react to poor performance and mismanagement. All he had to do is look at the Pacers to remind himself.

The next 5 years Colts tickets will be plentiful and cheap. Longer if their "reformulation" does not deliver.

I see another "Mayflower Moment" coming. . .

It'll be a shame to see them go and watch the citizens of marion and the 9 collar counties continue to pay for an empty stadium. . .
