Lonely locker room for Billy Cundiff of the Ravens and Kyle Williams of the 49ers.

So much for the Harbaugh bowl!

DAMN!

I guess a freaking repeat will have to do.

Not planning on going to the big game but it sure is nice to be able to look out of the windows of our office tower and see the amazing transformation going on downtown!  I was in a meeting yesterday and could clearly see one of the big screens at the stadium...on and playing football footage the entire time.  Getting in and out of the parking garage promises to become more and more of a pain in the ass but I'll be taking a couple of days off toward the end of next week and will enjoy my full, free access to my regular reserved parking in the garage at the corner of Illinois and Maryland streets for the festivities!

Members of the national news media (lamestream media to some) are already showing up in Indy and, because of the concentrated nature of our downtown area and the proximity of not only the Super Bowl village but a wide variety of other cultural points of interest we have that are within walking distance, are saying that Indianapolis is the best city in which they've ever attended a Super Bowl!  Shine on, you crazy diamond!
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

Congratulations to Indy.  A Super Bowl is an awesome thing to come to town!

Take some time to enjoy some of the side events even if you don't have tickets to the game itself.

I heard Terry Bradshaw and his crew go on and on about how much they love Indy and they are looking forward to being there.  St. Elmo's better be gearing up, they all brought up that place.
My youngest son and I, are going down to hang out and partake in some of the fun on the saturday before the big game.
The company I work for is jumping through hoops right now taking care of last minute work that needs to be done for this event.
Now, if we can keep this weather we are currently having to hang around another week, we might pull this thing off!

Chuck Pagano named head coach of the Colts. He was defensive coord for the Ravens this year.

And this just in, it sounds like Irsay is a tad bit miffed over 18's comments to the indy star about his rehab environment being less than ideal due to the bloodletting going on at Colts HQ.

Me thinks that 18's "luck" may be wearing thin with the Colts!

18'S THE TEAM LEADER!

HE IS SUPPOSED TO SPEAK THE MIND OF THE TEAM!

BUT THEN AGAIN!

I AM A MANNING FAN!

THE ONLY PLAYER I EVER WATCHED JUST TO WATCH AND NOT ROOT FOR THE TEAM?

ARCHIE!

ARCHIE WAS ALWAYS A QUARTERBACK WITH NO LINE TO PROTECT HIM!

ONCE THE BALL WAS HIKED!

HE WAS ON HIS OWN!

BEST QB IN THE MANNING FAMILY?

ARCHIE!

HE WAS PEYTON WITH LEGS AND ESCAPABILITY!!

NOT TRASHING PEYTON!

I STILL BELIEVE HE IS THE SMARTEST QB IN THE GAME!

WITH DAMN GOOD EYES AND MIND!

THE ARM SPEAKS FOR ITSELF!

AND I AM ENJOYING WATCHING ELI GROW!

BUT THE CLOSEST TO PEYTON

NOW STANDS IN THE POSITION ARCHIE DID!

NOW BRADY?

HE CAN WIN WITH A HEALTHY TEAM!

WITHOUT ONE HE STRUGGLES!

NOT SAYING HE IS NOT ONE OF THE BEST!

BUT HE IS NO BRET FAVRE!

WHO BELONGS IN THE SAME LEAGUE AS THE OTHERS!

HE WAS THE QB THAT MADE THE DIFFERENCE TO A TEAM!

THESE ARE THE GUYS WHO COULD COME TO A GOOD YOUNG TEAM!

AND MAKE THEM PLAY LIKE A TEAM OF VETERANS!

AND TAKE AN INJURED TEAM TO THE PLAYOFFS AND BEYOND!

THEY ARE TEAM LEADERS!

BUT THEY ARE NOT THE TEAM!

NEW ENGLAND CAN WIN WITHOUT BRADY!

BRADY WOULDN'T WIN WITHOUT NEW ENGLAND!

AND THAT IS WHY I RESPECT HIM!

HE UNDERSTANDS WITHOUT THE TEAM:

HE AIN'T!

EVEN THOUGH THE EAST COAST MEDIA BELIEVES HE IS THE ENTIRE FUCKING TEAM STANDING ON THE FIELD ALONE!

I DON'T FAULT BRADY FOR THAT!

HE PUTS TEAM FIRST AS EVERYONE ELSE IS CONCENTRATING ON HIM!

THEY SAY>>>>HE!

HE SAYS WE!

THE REASON I RESPECT HIM!

AS MUCH AS ALL OF THE ABOVE!

JUST CAN'T STAND THEIR FUCKING COACH!

WHICH SOURS ME ON THE TEAM!

I agree surrounding Peyton, but the problem is I suspect so do a major portion of Colts fans; and I believe Irsay will doom his team to financial ruin if he releases Manning. Healthy or not. The man has shown his ability not through talk, but through action. His record speaks for itself.

I cannot stomach the Patriots. And Brady suffers from the team imposed stigma via the cheating incident. Right, wrong, or indifferent, I dislike Brady for being party to that cheating, and for his arrogance. I consider him a punk.

I know this one will raise the blood pressure of followsthewolf: (I'd link to it but too much work on the phone).

I paraphrase, but I believe it was Kravitz in today's Indystar the writes; . . ".too bad Pagano cannot load Ray Lewis onto the Mayflower truck (and another player whose name escapes me at the moment) and bring them with him."

My first five minute impression of Pagano is........I like him.  He has a sense of humor, and seems very passionate about building a "team".
I would not be surprised to see a few of the Baltimore free agents jump on the Mayflower...they have several defensive players whose contract is up.
A controversy is already brewing between Irsay and Peyton...Peyton made a comment that there is a very negative attitude going on in camp....and Irsay did NOT like those comments and made it clear on the radio.
Going to get interesting, that is for sure!

I'm not sure why my blood pressure should go up, except that Ray Lewis should have been put behind bars a long time ago for a long time to come.

I will say one thing; if fate has any sense of justice then it will assure that Kravitz is made to retract every damn bit of the sensationalistic speculation he has been spewing over the past 6 weeks in the Indy Star and on the airwaves.

Unless that jackwagon has some super secret squirrel inside line on the medical condition of Peyton Manning, and the future plans of the owner of the Indianapolis Colts, he is doing nothing more than preying upon the emotions of Colts fans with an eye toward increasing his own personal wealth instead of executing any level of journalism.

Manning's medical condition is between him, his doctors, and the team; period. And Kravitz's unabashed meddling in the situation is doing nothing to help anyone but himself; and serving to do nothing but stir up local fans at a point in time when the very city in which we live is going to be front and center upon the global stage as we host the super bowl. (How can anything positive come from Indianapolis and its residents being perceived as a bunch of babbling idiots who dance at the whims of a journalistic hack, and his self serving speculation?)

Kravitz's personal choice to use Manning, the Colts organization, and Irsay, as puppets with which to drum up some attention that he hopes will shine his personal brass on a global stage is shameless. And injecting himself into personal and professional relationships that have, to this point been very harmonious, is unacceptable. In the span of one week his agenda has served to inject unnecessary emotions not just within the fans, but within the professional relationship between a future hall of fame quarterback and team ownership.

Manning's future is a decision that is up to the team, his doctors, and Manning himself. It's potential to end badly in the eyes of the fans is nothing compared to the personal impact upon Manning and the team morale and mechanics. There is no need to make things worse on everyone concerned by speculating and inflaming the situation.

Bad move Kravitz. VERY bad!
