Bulls**t.

The team did it.

Or did you forget  59 and 51 yard field goals.

I am tired of ESPN hyping the story for their benefit.

It demeans Tebows teammates.

I am not a f**kin skippy.

And you're acting like Tebow is the best thing since sliced bread.

all I said was Tebow does it again...never said ONE word about him being better than sliced bread!! I love sliced bread!!

and "skippy" just seemed to be appropriate, when you unraveled an outright assult upon me for saying "tebow does it again" because he DID do it once again.......not demeaning his teamates, just making a fun statement.

shhheeesh!

Once again, HE didn't do it. The TEAM did it.

Can't you understand a simple truth?

I played and coached football for 21 years. I never won a game by myself.

ESPN and everybody else is hyping it for airtime viewers, because it makes a great story for simpleton fans -- the ones who don't understand how the game works, but they love to drink beer and act like they know what they are talking about.

If my response to your over-simplistic "me, too!" crap is, in your opinion, an outright assault on you, all I can say is that you have a very SERIOUS difficulty in assessing assaults, either verbally or physically.

It explains a great number of your posts.

The sad thing is FTW, I've only encountered a slim few Denver jerseys being worn here in Florida, and now they're everywhere.   That's only because people are on the Tebow bandwagon.

Pretty much a NASCAR mentality -- trying to be part of something they are not.

Enjoying sports events is one thing; trying to be part of it is another.

After all, it IS only a sports event.

I could never understand how people could claim to love something so much, but never wanted to put in the sweat and tears to be part of it.

Easier to just wear the gear and talk the talk, rather than walk the walk.

I got nothin'. FTW and Loc said it all!

Denver is in dire danger of falling into the Manning trap. When a team starts thinking one player is capable of carrying them on his/her shoulders, they are listening to the press and not their coaches. THAT mentality brought us the soon to be 0 - 16 Colts.

I get it, but selling tickets is ALL the NFL is about, and they will stoop to anything to get it done.

It's a nice "story" but a "story" is all it is. Just like fractured fairy tales!

As the Eagles so eloquently put it . . .

. . .And we pray to our lord, who we know is American
He reigns from on high
He speaks to us through middlemen
And he shepherds his flock
We sing out and praise his name
He supports us in war
He presides over football games
And the right will prevail
All our troubles will be resolved
We hold faith above all
Unless there's money or sex involved. . .

I think this whole Tebow thing is out of control, simply because he is proud to admit he is a Christian, and THAT pisses some people off.  Tebow himself is NOT claiming anything, but a TEAM effort.
FTW, I know it is a team effort and to think likewise is being obnoxious....I was merely making a "joking" statement with the "tebow does it again"....but, I will say, that I think Tebow is exciting and the bronco's are a better team because of him.  They are 7 and 1 since he became a starter.  No different than when McNabb became a starter for the Eagles a few years ago, they went on a big winning spree, and it was McNabbs team.  What about Green Bay, if Rogers goes down, will they still be as effective?....They are winning because of Aaron Rogers.  Manning goes down.......and the Colts are 0 - 13.
Fans can identify with this, and that is what makes it fun.
FTW, I don't think you have to PLAY the game to enjoy it or understand it.  I played two years for a semi-pro team back in the early 80's.

Well skippy, I thought by your comment, that you had to play or coach for 21 years to be a fan....just wanted to clarify myself, that maybe I'm not as tough as you were, but I did play....and that TEBOW ROCKS!   ;)  ;D

Now I'm going to ask a question I know I won't get a answer to.  Hawk what great semi-pro team did you play for and where is it at.  Poo Dunk Center.
