AT&T plans to invest an additional $1 billion in the U.S. next year..............AND they announced that they will pay a special bonus of $1,000 to more than 200,000 U.S. employees now that the Republican tax reform bill is signed into law...

It is looking like it is GOING TO BE A MERRY CHRISTMAS FOR ALL!  (Except for those who choose to believe the crap Schumer and Pelosi are spewing.)  ;)

Why are you SO lazy, intellectually dead, and ideologically lockstep that you can't and won't do even a modicum of research.

ATT - nor any other corporate entity - isn't being generous with the corporate windfall just handed them by Repugs and Drumpf.

Even a cursory bit of research would show that it's us poor slobs who are paying those bonuses, not ATT.

Those bonuses are tax write-offs for the company, and the recipients will be taxed on them - most likely at a higher rate.

The expected taxes that should be paid on those corporate windfalls will have to be made up by the middle class.

I can't believe you Repugs are SO damn stupid!

......but, for me, it comes down to some common sense.  Give people a Tax break......the economy will rock!!! When the economy ROCKS, the federal revenue will increase.

Jee-bus Kee-rist!!!

Anyone with a modicum of sense knows by now that 'trickle down' is only pizzing down your leg and is NOT a valid working economic policy.

That's been proved time and time again since that idiot Ronnie Ray-gun tried to hoodwink the populace with that BS.

The corporate entities and the one percenters don't pass the money down, the corps. use it for buying back stock and paying out big CEO etc. salaries and bonuses, the one percenters bank it.  It doesn't 'trickle down' to the working class.  It never has, and never will.  Those two groups dispensed with any pretensions of the Social Contract long ago.

Also, the limiting/elimination of the Mortgage Exemption is going to burn the housing market - new and used.

That's the big one and I can't believe the sheep 🐑 believe it is a good thing. We will see how they feel as they begin losing their homes 🏡 in droves! 😡😡😡😡

I concur 150% with the balance of the post that I edited from the quote above as well.

The bill does not change the treatment of existing mortgages. Interest paid on up to $750,000 of new home mortgage debt will remain deductible for principal residences for taxpayers who itemize. The new rules lower the threshold from the current-law level of $1 million and exclude the ability to deduct interest on second homes.

The current treatment of interest payments for individuals in the tax code is uneven, treating different interest payments differently. Ideally, all interest should be treated uniformly while minimizing double taxation.

Rasmussen Poll shows Trump at 46% APPROVE this morning, with 53% DISAPPROVE...

What about Obama at same exact date first year in presidency?? 46% APPROVE, 53% DISAPPROVE!

I was just reading about this.  You do realize the Rasmussen Poll uses an automated system that only calls landline phones. How many young people have landlines?  I don't even have a landline!  About half the people in America use only cell phones.  Rasmussen also uses online polls, but they don't use probability sampling, which would give them more of a random sample.

From an article I read, "Rasmussen's polling received a C+ rating in FiveThirtyEight's most recent pollster rankings, and it has been found to lean toward the GOP when compared with other pollsters, which means it typically understated support for Obama and has a tendency to overstate support for Trump when compared with other polls."
