I doubt that.  If it could have been gotten for a good price, we'd have bought it and people would still be jumping there now.  The COG would also have had to remove the leaking underground fuel tanks in which the avgas was stored.  The EPA had been on the property's owner for years and time was running out.

They likely got a church member to do the remediation at cost by telling him that Gawd wanted him to. . .

They do indeed need to be taxed. 😡

Good point.
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The church owned a whorehouse?   ;D

It was a nice big white building and they called it a hotel.  :haha:

How can anyone who claims to be "pro life" be supportive of legislation that takes away medical coverage for some 9 million low-income children in this nation? Do you not understand that "we" are going to pay for their medical coverage anyway via increased insurance premiums driven by higher prices caused by the fact they cannot pay for their treatments?

Because they don't give a fuck about them after they're born.  That's how.

I don't know what makes me the most sick.  The election of Donald Trump or the passing of the Republican tax cuts.  It is the rape of America.  :puke:  :puke:

Overheard blonde commentary on the following story that she was viewing on her iPhone while standing in line at Kohls:

Apple varieties recalled at Indiana stores

Here are the products to look out for:

Honeycrisp apples in two-pound clear plastic bags
Gala, Fuji, and Golden Delicious apples in 3-pound clear plastic bags
Fuji and Gala apples in 5-pound red-netted mesh bags
Gala, Fuji and Honeycrisp apples that were tray-packed/individually sold.
If you think you may have bought apples included in the recall, check the lot number on the product to confirm.

Fuji: NOI 163, 165, 167, 169, 174
Honeycrisp: NOI 159, 160, 173
Golden Delicious: NOI 168
Gala: NOI 164, 166

. . ."Well thank god my phone isn't on this list!"

I wasn't nibbing. I asked her what list and she showed me the screen on her iphone. (It was at WTHR News page)

I couldn't help it but I busted out laughing almost immediately. I laughed the whole time she was checking out and had tears in my eyes as I stepped up to the counter to pay for my purchase. I'm sure the cashier thought I was nuts or something. . .

AT&T plans to invest an additional $1 billion in the U.S. next year..............AND they announced that they will pay a special bonus of $1,000 to more than 200,000 U.S. employees now that the Republican tax reform bill is signed into law.

The company said the bonus payments will go to union-represented, non-management, and front-line managers...In other words, the WORKING men and women who our President has promised, will be helped by the tax reform bill.

AT&T chief Randall Stephenson said the following........."Congress, working closely with the President, took a monumental step to bring taxes paid by U.S. businesses in line with the rest of the industrialized world.....This tax reform will drive economic growth and create good-paying jobs."

It is looking like it is GOING TO BE A MERRY CHRISTMAS FOR ALL!  (Except for those who choose to believe the crap Schumer and Pelosi are spewing.)  ;)

That amounts to .48 per hour at straight time; and in actuality because it is a bonus it isn't a raise and will result in being taxed at a much higher rate than normal. About 700 clear on average, and less than that if they actually make a "living wage". (Which is highly doubtful in this day and age).

The fact is that ATT has been in dire need to modernize for a few decades now, with the decline of landlines and its inability to compete with Verizon within the cellular market. Which is why DTV merged with them to improve their television offering due to the ongoing struggles with U Verse and it's reliability challenges. (I wonder how much Stock in ATT the Raging Cheeto holds?)

Similar circumstances are true for Boeing, who has struggled in maintaining its DOD contracts due to pricing issues the Cheeto in Chief himself has publicly castigated them over.

It's nothing but a dog and pony show designed to distract everyone from the fact that the tax bill is a deficit grower and is 180 degrees from the "no yes vote unless it is paid for by cuts" methodology they've been hawking for a decade. And the ones paying for it are what remains of the middle class.

If you look at their charted projections you'll see that incomes at 75 k for example, start at 5% plus in take home increases, but rapidly go into the negative over ensuing years. And IF their income increases so does the negative impact thereafter.

And if you have a major medical event that digs deepe into your pocket to pay your 20% of the bill, forget about tax relief. That's over.

The "MERRY CHRISTMAS " you refer to will be short lived to say the least, especially when it comes to tax time.

Wow!!!

Damned if they do......Damned if the don't.

Funny democrats are now all of a sudden worried about our deficit...

Hey!  It's Christmas........I thought this piece by AT&T would have a positive effect, even on those who hate big business.....I should have known better... ;D
Time will tell us the truth.....I'm not going to pretend I know more than others.......but, for me, it comes down to some common sense.  Give people a Tax break......the economy will rock!!! When the economy ROCKS, the federal revenue will increase.
The way we were doing the last decade wasn't working.

I love the spin on this.  The DOJ will now dismiss their anti-trust lawsuit over the AT&T TWC merger due to "bonuses" that are largely part of a labor dispute settlement that AT&T already agreed to pay.  Brilliant!
