Translation:  I cannot give you any examples.

You just don't get it do you? Seems to me it's the left wanting to take our guns, money, and constitutional rights.

Do you understand how the constitution works and how amendments work and what it takes to get rid of or add an amendment?  Don't answer, we all know the answer is no.  Stricter gun laws (which are needed) do NOT equal taking away your guns.  What constitutional rights are supposedly going to be taken away?  What did Breitbart or Fox say this time?  And don't use this line again "If you don't see it there's no point in my telling you but you really should start paying attention to things."  I want true, verified examples, please.

Will you quit insinuating I'm stupid because I happen to see things differently than you? What needs to happen is the gun laws which are already there need inforced. Look at Chicago and DC which have some of the most strict gun laws around, especially Chicago. Aren't there still killings by gun every day in both places?

I am of a different school of thought surrounding this.

All 50 years of "stricter gun laws" has achieved is to increase the regulatory hurdles and costs to own firearms for those that already comply with said laws in the first place. It has only served to further fill the coffers of state and local governments. Those who do not comply will never comply.

What truly is required are better mental health resources and programs designed to actually assess and treat these sick individuals.

Early information indicates this guy was a law abiding citizen that accumulated his weapons over a period of twenty years. And during those preceding twenty years he complied with the laws and legally obtained those weapons. Moreover it would appear on the surface that he snapped mentally at some point and did the deed.

It was well planned so he wasn't mentally incompetent by the legal definition of the term, but his psychological illness over rode his thought process and judgement. And there are millions of others suffering the same challenges.

The Aurora Colorado shooter stopped because he wanted at the onset to maintain anonymity and did not want to see the eyes of his victims or interact with them. He targeted those beyond the third row only for this very reason. It was only when a female sitting within those three rows made eye contact with him that he stopped. Because that made it personal and he could not go further.

This same twisted logic and thought process was likely going through the Vegas shooters mind and plan. It's why he chose the placement he did, and why he killed himself once the authorities located him . He had no desire to make the event personal and had a plan to deal with it once it eventually did.

His weapons were 100% legal, including the bump stocks he used to achieve automatic like fire modes.

Restricting those who already comply would not have impacted this event or any of the others that preceded it. . .

But it is the go to response none the less. . .

This time, signing an executive order that will triple deductibles and certainly double + premiums!
