Isn't it amazing how the creeps always kill the pretty ones.  We still; have the death penalty and I think we should use it.  This bull shit of keeping these low lives the rest of their miserable lives is bullshit.

It appears the authorities have yet another in an endless string of clues in the Lauren Spierer disappearance.

They are digging on property of a home in Martinsville. . . http://www.wthr.com/story/31081621/fbi-investigating-home-in-martinsville

Is this the same dig that we were talking about earlier where the feds were involved?

Nope this is another one. It seems the feds are camping in Indiana again this year!  :spooked:

So sad, she was a beautiful young lady.

Would it have been less sad had she been ugly?

It is a tragedy whether pretty or ugly

Scanning through the obituaries the other day, I read one that I thought was a bit odd. I guess because I am from the South that this was something I hadn't seen before. In this obit, the family stated that to come to the funeral was by invitation only. Now, like I have said I am from the South, we don't show up to funerals unless family or friends but to have an invite to a funeral was strange. I mentioned it to several and they thought it was odd also and said the only reason they could think of was that there was family issues. Regardless, I still thought how odd

It isn't that unusual around here to see "private services" in an obituary. Sometimes just private graveside services are held. I had never been to a funeral where everyone waited at the gravesite until the casket was lowered into the ground until I went to a funeral for my husband's great aunt. On the other hand, my daughter in law had never been to a calling/visitation where a family member stayed by the casket and spoke to all the people who came. She is from PA. Do people pull off the road for a funeral procession where you live. They still do in central IN.

Yes, people pull over and wait for the funeral procession to pass. I have seen in obits that it is private services or services at a later date but never have I seen by invitation only

People pull off the road here for funeral processions and sometimes you see police leading them. Sometimes the police just stop the traffic, which they also do when large churches let out on Sundays or other special occasions.

As for unusual obituaries, I read one years ago in the Bluefield Daily Telegraph that made me stop and think: It was about a former resident whose address was somewhere in Florida; he was survived by his wife and children and others, but, burial would be in a cemetery in Bland County, VA "by the side of the love of his life."

The police will do some that way and some they won't. It ticks me off when people won't pull over and show respect. That is funny about that obit, maybe it was a second wife. I know when my dad passes away, he will be buried next to my mom. My stepmom will be laid to rest next to her first husband. Lol

I really don't see any thing wrong with it.    My dad was buried with my mom and his second wife who he married when he was 72 was buried with her first husband.  I thought it was good for both of them since their first mates died in their 60s.  It is possible to love two people, especially if their first love died first.         :smitten:
