Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

Ha,my husband texted me and told me near his office that someone had put a flag pole with a Confederate flag. Funny thing, it is in an empty lot and to our knowledge, no one even owns the field. I am sure someone does but no one knows who!

Here's something interesting happening in a community near me.

About 10 or so years ago, a town councilman and mayor hopeful was convicted of abusing a teenage boy. He had molested this boy from the time he was a young boy until he was in his late teens. The rapist is wealthy and had used his wealth to accomplish this. The kid's prients basically told him that as long as he isn't gay and doesn't like it that no harm was being done (parents of the year should have gone to jail too) and was receiving "funding" for this "convenience". It was done as payment for work or something so the parents were cleared. The boy went through a rebellious stage with his parents (didn't count on that I guess) and threw them all under the bus.

The rapist is and always has been a snob and looks down on everyone. Apparently he treated his employees like crap, especially if they were female. Before he went to jail, he had an EEO case being built against him by female employees. Not based on sexual harassment, but his treatment of them professionally.

Fast forward to the past few years. While he was in jail, a female friend and supporter married him. They never dated and her sexuality had always been in question, so the community was surprised at this. Apprently their families were friends. He gets out of jail, shunned by his wealthy family, but had enough money to buy an ice cream truck. The town went into uproar because he would be selling to children. He and his wife claim that it's their business but that he would never be on the truck. Apparently that is so because several community members have made it their mission to stalk the ice cream truck and he's never there. He did attempt to run for mayor again, but lost.

Recently, he came off probation. Apparently, the distance restriction has been lifted as well. (distance to minors) He now happily mans the freezer and window of his ice cream truck and sells ice cream to children.

The community is staging a protest because they were told that he is within his legal rights to sell ice cream to children. They're calling it the "Pedifile protest". Their slogan? "Just because it's legal doesn't mean it's right".

My thoughts? The guy is an asshole but he paid his penalty within his legal sentence. Can he do it again? Probably and will he? Who knows? But I don't think stalking and harassing the guy is the way to go either.

What are your thoughts?

I am surprised he had his distance restrictions lifted and isn't on the sex offender list. I think he will probably get caught again and I sure wouldn't let my grandkids around him.

Why is it that so many days seem to drag slowly by, but the years go by so fast?

A woman is on trial for beating her husband to death with his guitar.

The Judge asks, "First offender?"

The woman replies, "No. First the Gibson, then the Fender!"
