LMAO!

I hate to burst your lil' FB bubble, but there are other industrialized nations that provide their citizens with more benefits than we do.

And let's talk about American 'culture', that 'culture' committed genocide, has a long history of racism, has a long history of xenophobia, and economic inequality.

Yeah, all that is something we should celebrate - NOT!

But we're a "shining city on a hill" and all the rest of that American exceptionalism crapola.  :roll eyes:

Oh, and while we're on that conversation, let's not forget that we're the only country that's actually used a weapon of mass destruction.  Not once, but twice.

I can't stand that ridiculous idiocy!  It's mythologizing America.

It's a guarantee when mythology is put to use it's to cover up and hide an ugly reality.

With all due respect, I think that attitude is part of the problem we now face.... :)

JFK-
"The rights of man come not from the generosity of the state but from the hand of God. The energy, the faith, the devotion which we bring to this endeavor will light our country and all who serve it—and the glow from that fire can truly light the world. And so, my fellow Americans—ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country...Let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His blessing and His help, but knowing that here on earth God's work must truly be our own"

THAT was called leadership...

Here's something else he said: "If by a 'Liberal' they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people-their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights and their civil liberties-someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a 'Liberal', then I'm proud to say I'm a 'Liberal.'"

All joking aside, he may be taking a huge hit in the wallet over something he personally had nothing to do with.

His former employee that was busted for child porn, allegedly worked from his Zionsville home from time-to-time; so this rush to judgment may irreparably harm his livelihood beyond repair. Subway has already begun cutting ties with him and removed any mention of him (supposedly. I have not confirmed this yet) from their web site.

If his former employee was indeed surfing or distributing kiddie porn from his home, he's got to prove he had no knowledge of it. And even if he does, he has already been tried and convicted within the court of public opinion already thanks to the media speculation and jumping to conclusions. . .

My guess is that home in Zionsville goes onto the market within 90 days. . .

Yes, Subway cut ties with him. It was announced on our local news, now I never believe them so I checked it on some other news sources and all have said Subway cut ties.
