ALERT: Ind State Police urging motorists to SLOW DOWN, or stay off roads if possible. Snow freezing rapidly on interstates on secondary streets. Numerous accidents reported.

I just got in from being up north of town and it's not really that bad out there. I will say it is a little worse coming through town where the pavement was a little warmer when this started though.

I have not been out in it yet as of this morning, but it appears we have somewhere between 6-8 inches on the ground and still snowing. . .

The ironic thing was when I looked up from my work in the driveway and saw a Robin sitting on one of the rocking chairs on the porch.  :biggrin:

My wife had bought me a 40-volt, cordless, 18" wide snow blower called a Sno Joe for Christmas.  At first, I was kind of disappointed that she took liberty to buy me a "tool" like this, that was a "cordless" snow blower.  I thought it was probably a gimmick or a waste of money.  Then I saw the video of it and did some research on it, and it got great reviews.

Yesterday, I finally got the opportunity to use it, and MAN!  That guy can throw some snow.  It plowed right through 6" to 8" of heavy snow with zero difficulty.  It took me less than a half hour to clear my drive down to the surface.  I then took my leaf blower, and blew it off clean, wiped it down.  Plugged my battery back in the charger and in two hours it was fully charged.

I then went over to my neighbors house and within 15 minutes I had his drive all cleaned.  He didn't even hear me until I was almost finished. He was amazed when he saw that it was battery operated.

I had to give my wife a smooch, and apologized for doubting her with this decision to buy it.



It even has a light, and an electronic switch to rotate the blower chute 180 degrees.
