Idiot pulling into your lane at stop light to go straight instead of turning without looking=slamming on brakes to avoid collision....bad brake line=blowout from slamming on said brakes, not that hard either,=car repair.     Yep, that guy could have lost the whole front end if I hadn't braked and swerved to avoid him.

What would that have proved?  When he also seen the string of cars behind me I'm sure he realized what he could have caused with that little stunt. Plus the car that was behind him about hit him in the rear when he changed horses in mid stream.

Speaking of Madison county, had some strangeness happen last two nights in a row. . .

Last night, I come up to the 4 way stop at Lucy's Diner, and I see a guy on a crotch rocket approaching the stop. First of all it was a tad bit nippy after midnight last night, so I immediately thought, "humm, hard core on a crotch rocket?"

Then I noticed he was a bit wobbly coasting to the stop, and that got my attention. Then since he arrived at the stop first he began his right hand turn in front of me, and I immediately knew something was amiss, since he was turning the handlebars instead of leaning, and I noticed his jacket was unzipped too. He immediately went off the road and into the wallowed out mud puddle on the shoulder, then made an even bigger mistake by trying to ride out of it ad onto the pavement at a parallel angle. This resulted in the handlebars whipping hard right and the dumping of the bike right into the puddle. Him too.

(There's more to it but I'll save that).

Tonight as I approached the very same intersection mr possum decided to walk out in front of me and stop. . . This time he paid the price, as the rear wheel took him out and I felt the tell-tale "bump".

Roadkill. . .

Thank You President Obama for our gas which is NOW over $4 a gallon ($4.15 actually)...you got your wish, along with HIS Energy Secretary Steven  Chu who in  2008, who told The Wall Street Journal that to effectively switch over  to clean energy sources,
"Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the  price of gasoline to the levels in Europe."

Well the dickheads got their way!!! and what is worse, the have NO intentions of reducing it....they got what they asked for.

Huh. . . because that is exactly what you said to me when I dared to express my frustration over diesel prices that have pretty much exceeded gasoline prices for the last 9 years. (Just replace "diesel" for the word "gas". )
