We received a letter from our bank saying they were replacing all the atm cards with debit cards, then I read that debit cards are not safe to use at outdoor atms, retail stores, gas stations, restaurants or on line. If that is true, what good are they or is this just all hype? Has anyone on here had problems using debit cards? I am planning on using the new card mainly as an atm card but now I have doubts about using it at all.

Debit cards are just as vulnerable as an ATM card since they too can be "scanned & cloned". Most banks have protection in place to cover such incidents. Just make sure they aren't implementing debit card transaction fees. It's all good otherwise!

I'm with yah on the credit card thing. I have one that I use for business and travel and that is it!

couple of stores at the mall give you discounts if you use their credit card, so i do, but i pay em off monthly.  i get some cash rewards on one card, and a gas card i have takes money off gas.  admitting that i use them way too much....

The main thing about credit cards is, you got to be smarter than the companies that issue them and don't get caught in the traps they set.

Maybe your sleep cycle is out of wack.  I found out at one time when I wasn't sleeping all night I was taking to many naps during the day.

So I cut out all naps no matter how short and it helped me.  So don't sleep at all during the day.  If you have to call someone, take a drive, a walk and don't sleep during the day.  This isn't a forever thing, but it might get you back in the groove.      No coffee :coffee: after 8 PM.   :gha:  I know I love my coffee too.

Nap. no nap, coffee, no coffee, don't seem to matter.  I just hate getting up at 0dark30.  Very seldom do I ever sleep more than 4 or 5hrs in a stretch.  I think it's just my inner clock or something.  Two of my daughters are the same way so it must be an inherited thing.

Do you take melatonin?
I have a few times but usually a cup of milk does just as good, cold not warm. Won't do sleeping pills of any kind 'cause when my dad passed away I was given one and it wired me instead of making me sleep.  I was in my early 20's then.

Melatonin is what's in milk that helps you sleep...I take 3mg every night.

A lot of thing have changed in drugs since you were 20      Depression could be one of your problems and believe me anyone can get depression.  The sin of depression is not to get help for it.  I know, my doctor helped me.

I know and I think it may be a mind thing with me as far as which one works best.  I've also put cd's in at times and played a certain song over and over and something in the music puts me in lala land and I sleep real good when I do that.  On of my fav's used to be Shaharazad. Don't need anything that deep now though since I don't have as much going on and I don't have to figure out how to do 20hrs worth of stuff in 10 or 12...LOL  Believe it or not sometimes I really miss those days, then I come to my senses.

Ya, more dangerous side effects from what I'm seeing.  I think I'll stick to my milk, melatonin, and/or music.  As far as depression I don't have time for that.  Ya miss out on the good things in life if yer dwellin' on the bad stuff.

What Troll is referring to is the fact that sleeplessness, and sleep loss, are a key ingredient for depression. As sleep loss accumulates it makes the likelihood of depression increase exponentially.
