My daughter felt it.  I somehow missed it.

My entire time in CA I've only felt one earthquake. It was cool. ;D

We live just on the south side of Anderson and didn't feel a thing. My friend lives just north of Anderson and felt it big time. No one at Bob Evans noticed it.

I didn't know that area is prone to seismic activity.

Yeah, it is but normally the epicenter is not located anywhere near central Indiana. In fact, they are shocked that this happened and are scrambling to understand why/how it happened.

The closest seismograph is located in Bloomington IN, at Indiana University. The USGS does not even have anything that I am awareof in central Indiana itself. (They tend to focus on the New Madrid fault-line near Evansville.)

Scientists scoured their maps for fault lines nearby and say it was likely triggered by the Sharpsville fault, alittle-known fault Near Kokomo.

"We know so little about it simply because it's deep within the earth and we haven't experienced any seismic in this part of the state in our historic records," said John Steinmetz, Indiana Geological Survey.

Well, maybe my earthquake insurance might pay off one of these days.  They are getting closer to where I live.  Hell I might be the only one in town to get a new home.
