Work is over for the day and my daugher has plans so I'm going to go home and have spa night. Ahhhhh it's going to feel so good to pamper myself.

I wonder which wine will go best with an olive oil facial mask? Red or white?

How about a little Champagne and some seasoned Cannelli bean puree on garlic toast wedges.

I going for a little warm water swim.  Ahhhhhhhhhh!

Gotta take mom to Muncie to have a shot in her eye for macular(sp) degeneration and then go to the grocery store to get the rest of the stuff for Sunday.

Fortunately it's still the dry in the right eye but it has gotten a little worse.  The left eye which has the wet is still the same and hasn't gotten any worse since it was treated a couple of years ago thank goodness.

My day had some eye problems.  Thanks to Medicare and his Social Security he was able to receive medical attention to keep it under control.  He was able to read his books and watch television until he passed at the age of 91.

Fortunately mom has both medicare and pays for a supplement which covers everything for her.  She has lost a lot of her center vision in both eyes even though it was caught early but she can still see TV if she sets close enough and read with the help of a thing a friend gave her that shows it on the TV screen.  I forget what it's called but she has to run a thing across the print to send it to the TV.  Mom will turn 90 this year.

Several years ago one of my customers had the same thing your mom has.  She had a reader hooked up to a television screen which made so she could read.  She said of all the things that could go wrong it had to be her eyes and one thing she loved to do was read.  She lived until she was 94 and all she took was a blood pressure pill, which she started taking a 90.  She said it really pissed her off that her doctor put her of a blood pressure pill.

Why does it seem like the less people go to the Dr. the healthier they are?  Or should I say the ones that take less of the newer drugs are the healthier ones.

She told me that when she was first married she had two miscarriages and one girl.  She said she had been very sickly.  She said that in her twenties she had a hysterectomy.  She said from that moment on she was healthy and only used aspirin.

We do know that the human race is living longer and in better health than in the good old days.  I know that because of good medical care and drugs I would be as healthy as I am now.

Sounds like fun, PH ;D

I spent the day w/Benji hiking and just enjoying being outside. We stopped for lunch at a place near the park and spent the 2nd half of the day there. Now, it's time for a bubble bath and relaxation.

Now I need to mow at the stall, but its raining AGAIN!  But it appears it is over and the sun is trying to cut through. . .

Guess I'll run and get some topsoil and seed to patch in the dead spots from last years drought. . . Maybe by the time I get back things will dry enough for me to ride the tractor for awhile. . .
