I'm not sure why I picked this spot to post this, but please take two minutes to watch....I should hav posted this last Thursday, but anytime is good for this one.

This is one of the reason I feel anger in my heart when I see the American flag, a god save our troops and god bless American on the Back of a Toyota and a Honda.  What is wrong with Americans.  The Japs didn't to anything for us but pain and death.

I suppose you would rather see our flag on the back of that Ford F-150 that was made in Mexico.

At least my Toyota truck was made in California. And the Camry I owned before that was made in Kentucky.

Try looking up the 100th Infantry Battalion/442nd Combat Regimental Team.

Count the medals.

My F-250 was made in Kentucy.  By Americans and all of the profit that Ford made on it stayed here in the United States of America.

Keep buy your Jap Crap and let all of that profit go the Japs, because the Japs love you.  I don't think it's very American of you.  :wall:  :flap:  :flap:

People who love Jap cars and trucks don't give a damn about how many of our men and women the Japs killed.  All they care is about their own selfish selves.  Don't give a damn about America,  No matter what they say they really can't defend it.

...It is important to recognize the contributions of the Japanese Americans who served in the U.S. Army's 100th Battalion and 442nd Combat Infantry group. History speaks for itself in documenting that none have shared their blood more valiantly for America than the Japanese Americans who served in these units while fighting enemy forces in Europe during World War II. The records of the 100th Battalion and 442nd Infantry are without equal. . .

http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/agency/army/100-442in.htm

The 442nd Infantry, formerly the 442nd Regimental Combat Team of the United States Army, was an Asian American unit composed of mostly Japanese Americans who fought in Europe during World War II.[1] The families of many of its soldiers were subject to internment. The 442nd was a self-sufficient fighting force, and fought with uncommon distinction in Italy, southern France, and Germany. The unit became the most highly decorated regiment in the history of the United States Armed Forces, including 21 Medal of Honor recipients. The motto of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team was "Go for broke".

I think you should drop the Japanese off of Japanese American.  They were Americans.  I can't help how they were treated by Americans who were scared to death of the yellow devils.  If you remember the yellow bastards sneaked in and bomb and kill our people in Pearl Harbor.

You need to read some books on how the Japs treated our fly boys in World War II when they captured them and tortured them and mutilated them and starved them to death.  I have went through several of these books this year, if you want a reading list.  I can't see how America has been better off dealing with them in the last 40 years.  I sure as hell can't see buying their damn cars.  Have you ever heard of our foreign deficit.  A little large, isn't it?

I agree on dropping the Japanese from the phrase, however doing so will have zero impact upon the discriminatory practices of this country and all those "scared Americans" who continue to endorse its practice. One need only look at the way some in this country are willing to risk treating Mexicans who are also Americans; by choice no less.

The fact that men and women of Japanese decent laid it all on the line for this country, while their families back home were put into internment camps is infuriating to me, and it should be for all Americans. One would think that it would prevent the repeating of such crap, but it doesn't and it won't!

I don't need to read any books to understand what a foreign country did to our nation in WWII, I have had plenty of first hand lessons from those that were there and endured it themselves. (A lot of them dead now though). As well as to understand what America did to Americans who happened to be citizens of Japanese decent. . .

You single out Toyota but the fact remains many of that companies US market vehicles are manufactured in the US by Americans, including the sub assemblies that go into the finished products. A larger percentage of Toyotas bought in the US directly support US labor and businesses than do American products in the same market. So basically what you are saying when you single them out is, that you don't care how many millions of Americans in the USA would be put out of work if they were forced to move their operations back to Japan from the US.

While I certainly can understand your sentiments and the reasons for them, they are indicative of stagnant thinking and a failure to adjust those sentiments to present day conditions. When Toyotas were being made in Japan and any other country other than the uS, that approach probably made a lot of sense; but it doesn't today.

I thought I mentioned Honda to.  I used those two just to make it easy to talk about imports.  I want all of the foreign cars brought in on a even plain with ours.  Korea who brings in almost million cars and we can't sent in any because of the 400% tariff.

Obama tried to get a new treaty with Korea last week but was rebuffed.  Hell, tax their damn cars 400% and they won't take our beef.  Germany who give their car makers a discount when they send over here.

Hell, we can't compete with $5 minimum wage  in Mexico and 20 cents a hour in other foreign counties.  If we don't put our people back to work, IT'S ALL OVER FOR AMERICA.  PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

The days of putting americans back to work at $85 per (with benefits) are gone.  We got to find a realistic median.  Honda, I know pays around $20 an hour, they have a very good Health Care, paid vacations, overtime is usually an option.  Senoriety levels increase this, but excellent work is rewarded also.  I think there are millions of folks who would jump at this opportunity.
Mitch Daniels is over Japan right now trying to strike a deal to bring MORE of these japanese jobs to Indiana.

Thank you for your input Henry.   Old scabby low wage Hawk.  I know that you would jump at one of those jobs At Honda.  I am also glad your up on how Honda works and all of their benefits.

It's really nice for someone who of higher education thinks it is alright to work Americans for foreign wages.  I mentioned that Mexico minimum wage was $5, but that $5 a day not an hour.

Henry with you line of thinking, cut wages, cut taxes, quit spending is sure the road to success and the American dream.  Let corporations and the super rich have it all is what you want for America.  Well, Henry I"M NOT ONE OF THEM.

And where did you get that $85 an hour.  Working skilled trades the most money an hour I made just before I retired was $20.50 an hour.  You come with these wages out of your ass, where you come with most of your ideas.  Out of your ass.

me

Don't forget to add the benefits and paid vacations and all that into the pr hour wage Troll.

Ford's labor costs were $70-80 an hour per worker for combined wages, benefits, and retirement costs

Here is one that is more like $73 per hour compared to Toyota's $48 per hour

Average Labor Cost per U.S. Hourly Worker Source: GM & Toyota   GM: $73.73   Toyota: $48

Troll, if you add on your TRUE labor costs, you would be surprised how much YOU cost FORD...figure in ALL of your perks.... ;)

I know I was making only $40.50 thirteen years ago and I sure didn't cost them much in Insurance.  I was never sick.  Back then Ford and all of the American auto companies were living large.  Ford was buying all of those foreign car companies and living large.  In the copy you presented is said the cost to Ford now was $50 an hour compared to Toyota's $48.

Times have change for the worse and the Republicans caused it.  Just like in the 30's.  Good Old Hoover and the GOP.

No, it clearly says...

The average labor cost per U.S. hourly worker: GM $73.73 vs. Toyoto $48

it also says: Healthcare costs per vehicle in 2004: GM $1525 vs. Toyoto $201

Production Time per Vehicle: GM 34.3 hours vs. Toyota 27.9 hours

Profitability per Vehicle:  GM loses $2,331 per vehicle vs. Toyota makes $1,488 per vehicle

http://www.npr.org/news/specials/gmvstoyota/

THEY are making a profit and do not require a government bailout....maybe we need to follow suit!...
