This is truly on sacred ground, mind you. Not two blocks away, wedged between the Gap and Sephora in Pentagon City mall, out of sight of the original crash site.

The landing gear landed on the site where the proposed mosques is set to be built in Park51...that IS ground zero as it gets.

and why there was no media at the pentagon is beyond me, and out of my control....THIS however IS news, and it is news that we as Americans do NOT have to be tolerant about.

You obviously don't know what 'ground zero' means.

And yet you have conveniently avoided PH's question about the geebuz statue at the site of the Oklahoma City bombing that was done by a white Christian; why is that?  Don't worry, it's a rhetorical question...because you're a religious bigot, that's why.
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

and you are wrong again, like you are most of the time....

you are a liberal bigot....plain and simple...you have proved it time and time again on here...

I am honest enough to call things the way I see them, not like the liberal, pricks, with their nose stuck up in the air, who thinks THEY know what is best for everyone, and think we have to be tolerant of those who are trying to destroy this Country.

and ground zero IS the site of destruction.....a landing gear falling on building at a high rate of speed will cause a site of destruction.

Nope.  You have no issue with a statue of your geebuz at the location of a tragedy caused by someone who shares your religious beliefs but you do have an issue with a community center even close to the 9/11 site.  Your religion = all good; muslims = evil; that is the definition of religious bigotry.

Actually, we're trying to save the country from illiterate breeders but we're failing miserably.

Look up the definition for 'ground zero' before you make a bigger fool of yourself.

The term has often been associated with nuclear explosions and other large bombs, but is also used in relation to earthquakes, epidemics and other disasters to mark the point of the most severe damage or destruction.

I didn't need to look it up, I know exactly what it means...but, I did it for you, buddy.. ;) ..and the mosque site IS part of a severe damage and destruction.

Your religion = all good; muslims = evil; that is the definition of religious bigotry.

Let me do the math PROPERLY for you.... Americans = Good; Anti-Americans =  BAD

That is the math I grew up with, and I am willing to die for, if it ever come to it.

btw, there are many, many Muslims that are against this mosque being built...I realize that the vast majority of Muslims are NOT radical and are peaceful, but that does not mean we have to tolerate the few that WANT to destroy this nation.....just as the dumbass idiots who call themselves Christians, who are radical and are violent....

And yet you continue to villify the entire religion based on the actions of those few.  That, my friend, is the definition of bigotry.

my only objection is this particular inman, what is his real motives.....like I said, IF they was wanting to build a "real" bridge, they could leave out the mosque or add a church, a synagoge and places of worship for others.....he didn't.

It is my formed opinion that there is more to his motives...if THAT makes me a bigot (in your opinion)....that is no skin off of my behind....I am not going to be a wussy, and go along with something that I think is wrong...because I "Might" offend someone.

Now it's an issue with the imam?  What is it; you don't like his shoes or the way he wears his hair or what?

The Saudi Warren Buffett? Last I knew he owned almost 15% OF Citibank and at least a 7% stake in Fox News parent company. . .

Bingo!  He's the second largest shareholder of News Corp behind the Murdoch family.  Now consider the fact that a lot of the shit being stirred about this community center/mosque is originating from the talking heads at FNC, it just goes to show yet again what Fox News is for those who choose to see it.   Look at this:

"The imam has been tied to some shady characters," Fox Business Channel's Eric Bolling recently said, "so should we worry that terror dollars could be funding the project?"

Their number 2 shareholder has funding ties to this imam.  You'd think that would give pause to the screeching of Hannity, Palin, Beck, et al., but none of them seem to want to discuss that little issue.

Islamophobia pure and simple. I am surprised they aren't calling for a government takeover of Faux News!  :spooked:

Ironic how it's okay for a strip joint and OTB facility to be in the same area, but they are squealing over an attempt by Islam to achieve a higher level of understanding via education of those who are ignorant. . .

And speaking of the ignorance that needs educated, I found this on Facebook.   This borders on hate speech.

"Someone else has been talking about this very same thing, and as I told them. with as many people who are totally against this, if it does get built, somebody up in NY will either burn it down or bomb it. Let them have their freedom of religion...just do it somewhere else."

This bimbo is clearly off her rocker and doesn't even think about the ramifications for her own religion if the logic of her comments is followed to its logical conclusion.

Yup! Makes her religion just as bad as those she likes to paint with the broad-strokes of ignorance!
