And as with the AHCA and the sour grapes mash the GOP continues to drink deeply from, Cruz continues to lie his way through another GOP favorite tactic, stalling, surrounding the executive order the POTUS signed on immigration.

Texas Senators Ted Cruz and John Cornyn and Reps. Bob Goodlatte (Va.) and Lamar Smith (Texas), filed an a brief on Wednesday with the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals asking it not to lift an injunction on the POTUS's immigration executive order.

Just because they hate Obama, doesn't make it illegal. Saying it is over and over doesn't make it illegal. The Federal Judge did not rule if it violates the Constitution but conservatives lie in saying he did.

The GOP shopped in Texas for a judge based upon his personal views, and he still did not declare the POTUS's actions unconstitutional or illegal. (Because just like the AHCA it is NOT illegal or unconstitutional). But he did implement an injunction that is set to expire; and that scares the shite out of the GOP.

Everything this POTUS does has to be taken to court, wasting the courts time and taxpayer dollars on sour grapes over the loss of not one, but two presidential elections. And now Cruz has apparently appointed himself the standard bearer for this blatantly insidious and ongoing initiative.

If the republicans really felt that half of the presidents executive actions were illegal they would have just let the court system handle these issues, yet they constantly keep trying various underhanded tactics; government shut downs, holding Loretta Lynch's nomination hostage etc.

They have no confidence whatsoever dealing with the court system unless they go judge shopping like they did in this immigration situation, because it has been proven time and again that this President has done what a lot of former presidents have done in the past and no one challenged it.

One has to ask; What is really at the root of such an unreasonable course of action?

Ted Cruz: Americans spend $500 billion complying with tax laws, about same as entire military budget

. . .his claim proved squishy at both ends. It looks like depending on how you value time, you can get to almost any total for what it costs Americans to prepare and file tax returns. However, most estimates run short of Cruz's figure. Meantime, military spending exceeded $800 billion when he spoke though the senator's spokesman indicated he meant to not count spending on conflicts abroad and other items not in the military's nearly $500 billion base budget. . .

First stop....

Our ruling

A Facebook post depicted Cruz saying: "While there may have been an age difference, Josh Duggar's transgressions are far less an affront to God than what gays do to each other."

Didn't happen and ridiculous. Pants on Fire!

PANTS ON FIRE – The statement is not accurate and makes a ridiculous claim.

I retract this one. . . as well as the one stating "There is no place for gays or atheists in my America. None. Our Constitution makes that clear."

I stand corrected on those two.

Although I will state that his position surrounding alternative lifestyles is clearly within the vein both of those posts insinuate. He did not say either one in the way quoted however.

You need to read beyond the heaslines. From that link at the very end (yes, I read it all ...)

Our ruling

Cruz said: "Every year we spend roughly $500 billion on tax compliance. That is roughly the budget of our entire military, entirely wasted on tax compliance."

I know, I'm not arguing....just doing some research....I still think politifact is liberal and have no intentions of trying to make Cruz look good...but, I think we can take a number of Obama's lies and blast them too....

. . .

When did you ever stop within the last 6 years? (Which is the primary motivation for holding each and every single GOP candidate accountable up front, on my part).

Fact is, he IS the POTUS and has been elected to the office for two consecutive terms by the citizens of this nation. (Despite your purely obvious hatred for the man and the fact you were outvoted by the majority of this nation twice). Piling more onto of the stratospheric pile you have already created serves no purpose at this juncture, and certainly will not change a thing.

There have been plenty of Presidents I did not vote for, and some I have, with which I strongly disagreed surrounding their agendas and the fact that they changed once they took office and were provided the "lay of the land" surrounding the state of the union and global diplomacy. Yes, with some of those issues I was vocal, including but not limited to Operation Iraqi Freedom; but I didn't go around for nearly 8 years squalling like a scalded cat and slinging mud, half-truths, and outright lies. (And when I did I owned it, and did what little I could to correct my mistakes).

Barrack Obama passed landmark legislation despite the maelstrom of hatred and historic level of obstructionist politics he faced. And history will reflect this.

If the GOP holds any hope of obtaining the White House in 2016, they had better change their evil ways rapidly. . .

And if the democrats take anything away from the sitting POTUS's 2 terms it should be this: The GOP has provided a 6, probably 8 year example of how NOT to uphold the responsibilities to the citizens of this great nation that their positions demand. Learn from this or you will join them in the unemployment lines.

No I never once stopped.  There is a very, very good reason as to why.  Because I did not ever once be!ieve he had intentions of trying to build any bridges to unite this country.  He started off this party by telling the republicans they can come along for the ride but to keep out the way....told fellow Democrats that if we bring a knife to the fight then they should bring a gun.

He told the world that the Cambridge Police Dept acted stupidly, before he waited to here all the evidence....he told the world that if he had a son he would have been like Trayvon Martin, before he waited and got all the evidence....found out he was a lot smkin punk.....he sent his attorney general to Ferguson to attend a funeral of a man whe attacks a police officer, before he waited on evidence.  Time and time again hecshould a lack of leadership and drove a wedge between many people of this nation.

YES!  I do not like him. Not because he is black.....please quit saying that.  I merely believe he is a horrible, horrible leader!

He passed a healthcare bill that has not helped the average middle class hard working American! I know this for a fact.

He has not made the world asafer place as was promised....had nothing to do with the GOP.....it is all on him and his policies and his lack of leadership.

I will admit that many Republicans deserve to have their asses kicked out of Washington...but no need to lecture me about how this country is in danger because of the GOP.....he is the leader and the buck stops with him.

We need a gigantic turn back to the right if we ever want a chance on a decent economycever again.
