To change the subject, here is something from today's Washington Post about libertarians that really surprised me (not that I am the expert on libertarians). Makes me wish Pobaby was around to give me his opinion.  :sneaky:

Inside the libertarian version of Burning Man: Guns, booze and bitcoin

Porcupine Freedom Festival: The libertarian Burning Man with guns

The annual event where Libertarians gather in New Hampshire to revel in a free state.

LANCASTER, N.H.— Like any good bonfire, the evening ritual at the Porcupine Festival deep in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, includes a drum circle, plumes of marijuana smoke, shared bottles of whiskey and spirited debate.

There are also guns. Lots of guns.
Colt .45s, Smith & Wessons, and Rugers hang on hips. A bearded man clings to an AK-47; a guy with a Mohawk has a shotgun with flowers coming out of the barrel strapped to his back. For this isn't your typical bacchanal in the woods. This is the libertarian version of Burning Man., where a kumbaya discussion around the campfire goes something like this:

"It's great to be around people who understand. I don't get how the left won't just admit that income tax is theft. Who cares if it's for a good cause? If I held you at gunpoint to pay for my mother's cancer treatment, wouldn't that still be theft?"

Once a year for the past 11 years, this campground in the northern part of the Granite State turns into a libertarian utopia. And this year, roughly 2,000 people — mostly white men — have paid between $45 and $100 to experience for one week what life would be like without the onerous mechanisms of laws, if the market ruled to the exclusion of all else. Want to wear a loincloth and sell moonshine, shop at an unregulated market that accepts Bitcoin and silver, or listen to a seminar called "How the Collapse of the State is Inevitable"? Then this is the place for you.

It certainly is the place for Pete Eyre, a jacked guy with an enormous beard, standing off to the side of the fire. At one point he wanted to be a cop, interning at the St. Paul, Minn., police department, enforcing many of the rules people have come here to disregard. He found the system too reactionary, he says, and now helps run an organization that films police misconduct. He shows off one of his many tattoos in the flickering light of the fire. It's an anarchist symbol tattoo covering an old American flag tat he got in his past life. "It's my journey," he says.

Then someone taps him on the shoulder. There's a kid having a bad trip in the bathroom, and in this hectic, anti-hierarchical festival, Eyre is the closest thing to an authority figure around.

"I am God," a longhaired 20-something repeats to the people babysitting him in a bathroom hallway. "I am a perfect logical machine."

Two girls huffing nitrous oxide from a balloon and a guy holding a needle come by. The guy with the needle says he has a chemical mixture that if injected will lessen the effects of hallucinogens. "I have the solution right in my hands," he says. Eyre decides it's a bad idea to inject the longhaired guy with a mystery drug — even if it could work in theory — and says he won't allow it to happen.

"Can anyone refute that it will work?" the guy with the needle asks.
It might as well have been the slogan for the whole glorious epic of the Porcupine Freedom Festival.   ....

After investigating Benghazi 7 times and spending Millions of dollars to do it, the Republicans want 3.3 Million dollars to do it one more time.

This is more money than the Republicans are spending on the VA Hospitals investigations.     More taxpayer money wasted chasing Benghazi ghosts. :ghost:

An old woman call the police and told them that there was a Democrat out in front of her house playing with himself.     The cop said, how do you know it's a Democrat.     Well said the old woman, if it was a Republican he would be screwing someone.  :rotfl:  :rotfl:  :rotfl:   :choo:  :choo:

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — A candidate for the Anne Arundel County Council has recently donated dinosaur fossils to a creationist museum that believes the creatures were alive less than 5,000 years ago.

The Capital (http://bit.ly/1mLQix3 ) reports Michael Peroutka presented the fossils to the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky, over the Memorial Day weekend. Peroutka is the Republican nominee in the District 5 council race.

Tax records show Peroutka valued the fossil at $200,000. The museum puts the value at $1 million after a reappraisal.

Museum leaders say the specimen is a 30-foot-long Allosaurus that was uncovered in Colorado. They say the fossil dates to biblical events 4,000 years ago.

University of Cincinnati paleontologist David Meyer says Allosaurus fossils date back millions of years. He says there's no evidence dinosaurs were alive 5,000 years ago.

Did ya read the WHOLE Snopes article?

I thought not.....

It's a red herring anyway.  Why doesn't it shock me that the resident liar doesn't have a problem with Cheney.  I suspect she's as much a sociopath as he is.

Of course I did and yes, I realize what it meant.  I'm tired of hearing how the Bush administration is solely responsible for what happened and ya'll acting like he lied when this started with Clinton and was passed down.  Clinton ignored things too which could have prevented 9/11 and Bush would not have had to deal with it.  Clinton was convinced there were weapons of mass destruction as well as a lot of other dems so what's with saying Bush lied?  His info was based on the Clinton administrations findings as well as the current info he had available.  Clinton did nothing about the bombings during his administration and they kept happening, seem to have ended with 9/11 and what Bush did.  Did you hear Bush blame the media and the former administration for his problems and try to shut the media out or discredit people who talked about him?  That's all you hear from Obama is it's the media's fault, it's Bush's fault, it's everyone's elses fault except the fault of his administration that the U S is in a mess right now.  Things are going downhill fast whether you believe it or not and Obama's out doing fund raisers, playing golf, and doing everything except tending to business, he's delegated it out to others, (which is what a community organizer does), instead of handling it himself because he has no clue how except to throw money at it, appoint a bunch of highly paid overseers, and hope it goes away.  Got any friends or relatives living in one of the boarder towns?  Ask them how secure the boarder is and I'll bet it isn't near as secure as this administration is leading everyone to believe.  Of course it can't be all that bad since Obama was there and played pool at a beer hall, went to fund raisers, and only met briefly with anyone to discuss the problem and what to do rather than go first hand to actually see for himself what was really happening, I guess he can see that on the news where he learns about everything like the rest of us.
This concludes my soap box rant for today 'cause I'm so frustrated with this crap and one thing reminds me of another and the rant goes on.  Get your heads out of your ass people you're being taken for a ride by a smooth talker who says nothing but has the ability to use words to make you think he is.  You're educated and should be able to see right through that.  Quit with the critical thinking and use some common sense and reasoning for a change.

I have never read such bullshit in my life ... well, maybe with the exception of several more of your posts. And it can all be traced back to that one quote above from your latest maniacal rant. You and others like you aren't capable of critical thinking. You just parrot the garbage that is fed to you.

Good little piggies ....

Critical thinking seems to me a way to teach people to NOT think for themselves but rather to LET themselves be manipulated into thinking the way certain people want you to think.  Goood little sheeple.
