I don't understand this, I thought that critical thinking had to do with being analytical.  In no way does actually analyzing the situation make someone a sheeple.  Critical thinking should allow us to make an informed opinion.   Definition: the objective analysis and evaluation of an issue in order to form a judgment.

Critical thinking employs not only logic but broad intellectual criteria such as clarity, credibility, accuracy, precision, relevance, depth, breadth, significance, and fairness.

In sum:

"A persistent effort to examine any belief or supposed form of knowledge in the light of the evidence that supports or refutes it and the further conclusions to which it tends."

Critical thinking is NOT exclusionary of empirical evidence that supports or refutes a conclusion / knowledge that is opposite a preconceived conclusion, or of that which refutes precursory knowledge.

Thus, we see the criteria upon which some here have been adjudicated as having absolutely no possession of critical thinking skills what-so-ever.

In some cases that may work but there is no simple black and white there is gray and critical thinking seems to forget that and doesn't allow for variables which may come into play.
