You know, this administration hasn't given a crap about passing a budget since Obama took office so what's the major problem now?  All of a sudden it is of utmost importance and he has to start closing things like an open air war memorial, keeping death benefits from families, closing private businesses which happen to sit on federal land but taken care of with private funding.  All the while letting illegal immigrants hold a rally, Pelosi thanked him for allowing it in her speech, in the national mall with the veterans within site not being able to get to an open air monument.  He is dividing this country and you and others like you for some reason can't see it because your still blinded by the smooth talk and BS he is spewing.

With pressure rising and no clear path forward for breaking their fiscal impasse, President Barack Obama began inviting lawmakers to the White House on Wednesday for meetings to discuss the government shutdown and raising the debt limit.

Obama invited all House Republican members, but House Speaker John Boehner limited the group to party leaders and prominent committee chairs, lessening the exposure of Obama both to Republicans who might dissent from the leadership's hardline strategy and to rank-and-file Tea Party members who inspired it. White House spokesman Jay Carney said Obama was "disappointed" at the truncated guest list because "the president thought it was important to talk directly with the members who forced this economic crisis on the country."

It kinda sounds like the Repugs are enjoying this and have NO intention towards working towards a compromise.
