Yes they are, that is WHY they are proposing forgiving the loans....but, the committee will decide before next week, if that is a valid reason.

Bull shite. They are not funded the same way public schools are. (But they want to be).

I didn't say they were funded the same way as public schools.......I'm saying they did not get the proper fundings they were supposed to have in the first place.  Had they got them, they would NOT have had the trouble the now face.

They DID get the "proper fundings they were supposed to have in the first place". They were subsidized by headcount, which is exactly how charter schools receive funding according to policy. They are NOT public schools and are not, by law, funded as a public school.

They've got their hands out expecting to be funded like a public school, which they are not. They are asking to be bailed out due to their mismanagement or inability to manage within their means.

They are part of the public education system...charter schools operate on a calendar year ... unlike the state budget ... each one started out having to find six months' worth of operational money, which the state answered with these loans....the charters a claiming had they had this money from the beginning, they would not have struggled.

Personally, I don't have a dog in this fight, so I REALLY don't care, but when the Troll HAS to make it a personal attack on repubicans....well, He is just once again, speaking out of his ass.

but YOU know the truth, don't you?

It cracks me up, when YOU find an article stating something YOU support, It is FACT, but to all others, it is just BS opinion.

the bottom line is, TROLL does nothing but TROLL...he had nothing of any value to say but to slam republicans over an issue he had NO clue as to what he was talking about.

Ole' Troll has his own style - one that not everyone might agree with - but it's patently obvious that yours isn't so far different and that your meat curtains are chapped only because he targets Repugs and you see yourself as one of 'em.  Life's tough!

...of course you could counter him by TRYING to substantively point out any GOOD things the Repugs ARE doing - if you can - instead of your usual version Troll only RW.

As usual, Congress waits until the pain is already inflicted upon the masses before acting. They just voted to end the furloughs of air traffic controllers. . . AFTER subjecting those who reported for work to unreasonable stress levels and imposing hours long delays upon air travelers nation-wide!
