Even if they all really want to say no as you seem to think, I would bet they at least would want to be reelected and increase their numbers in the house and senate.   I heard an interesting statement the other day and I think it cover everything. 

  If the Supreme Court of the United States can consider a corporation has the same standing and rights of a human being.  Why in hell can't a gay man and a gay have the same rights as an American human being.  Huh?   

  Married is just a name, a name for a state licence contract for to two people be bonded together in a marriage contract.  But for some reason the dumb to the bone Christians thinks it a religious thing that must be guarded to the death.  And if you look really hard you might find it the the FAIRY TALE Book the Holy Bible.      If you're dumb to the bone you can find anything in the "HOLY BIBLE".   

  But it really boils down to is, it's none of the holier than tho Christian's business what two grown adults do with their lives.  It sure isn't doing to damage marriage, because it is already damaged with a 54% divorce rate and it's against the Constitution to do this to Gays.  It's illegal to discriminate against anyone who isn't a criminal

  The Republicans who are controlling the Indiana state house, the  people who took state taxpayer money to fund private Charter Schools and took money from public schools.

  Now want to forgive $12 Million in loans given to Charter Schools that were revoked for not giving their students a proper education.  What is wrong with this picture, taking $12.9 Million Dollars in taxpayer money and giving it to crooked Charter Schools that should have went to public schools.   

  Why is it that the Republicans want Charter Schools?  Why it's so the rich who choose to send their rich kids to a private school and have the tax payers pay for it.

  Is there any means that the Republican Party won't go to to help the rich and screw the middle class and poor taxpayers.

Charter Schools ARE public schools.....they did NOT get the funding other public schools got in the first place.  They are playing "catch-up" since their school year goes year round under a program that funded all schools.
This is also not a done deal, it is going into review by the senate appropriations committee.

They are not playing "catch up". They receive only headcount funding ($$ for every head enrolled), and no funding for facilities, maintenance, etc.

These "schools" can put an unnecessary drain upon the already over-burdened revenue streams in cities like Anderson, and take away from the maintenance, improvement of facilities, and other budgetary needs of the truly public school systems in the the areas in which they are operated.

And then there are the public schools where they are telling elementary kids there was no such thing as the holocaust.   My sister is not a happy camper with my niece's teacher at the moment and is reteaching her about the holocaust so she will know the truth.  This is in the Indy school system.

Yes they are, that is WHY they are proposing forgiving the loans....but, the committee will decide before next week, if that is a valid reason.

It may be a day or so before she gets back to me 'cause she has to be at work at 5:00am and doesn't get off 'til 6:00pm and then she and hubby do things with the kids so she isn't on much.
