"...the rest of you...."?

Are you including me in that accusation of lying and evading the truth?
Are we trying to deflect here and take things off topic by putting me on the defensive or what?  You all, and yes I am including you in this one, have a way of taking everything HH and I say and making something out of it and I'm tired of the juvenile sniping back and forth.  It serves no purpose what-so-ever.

Care to translate that for those of who do not understand repugnican-ese?

And I for one will say it again right here, right now. When you back individuals, organizations, and/or political parties that are patently racist, whether subversively racist or forthright with it, with, or without your being cognizant of that fact, you by association are racist. (Ignorance is no excuse - legally). Your blind support of said individuals, organizations, and/or political parties makes you guilty by association; at minimum, whether you knew of it or not.

So do your homework. Otherwise be prepared to face the consequences.

All conservatives are not racist nor are all liberals not racist.  There are racists in both parties and to deny that is just plain foolish.  Whether you chose to believe it or not you are saying that everyone should believe as you do and that everyone who disagrees with the current administrations policies is racist which would mean we should all agree and vote for Obama again and that just isn't going to happen no matter how you try to spin things.

Now who is trying to spin?

Show me where I said you need to "believe as I do". If by saying that you mean I am implying we should all fight racism wherever and whenever it rears it's head, then hell yes that is what I am saying; and nothing more.

Remember, it was the teabillies who got that closet "nazi" elected in Kentucky, and a few others nationwide as well, and NOT the democratic party.

Reread the question I asked and your response to it.

Your answer, stating that I have "a way of taking everything HH and I say and making something out of it" is a response to a totally different question.

All you had to do was simply to reply "yes" or "no."

The problem with that kind of answer, of course, would require you to substantiate it with proof.

That you cannot do.

What you do is to make sweeping generalizations and accusations you cannot prove and then think that your opinion is as good as anyone else's.

When you have no basis for the opinion, it is NOT as good as one's whose conclusions are drawn carefully from fact.

Not that you know what that means, either.

You just like to blab and fool yourself into believing that somehow your life experiences have imparted wisdom to you.

It hasn't.

The sad fact is that I have conservative friends who articulate their positions very carefully and impressively.

I respect their opinions very much.

Can't say the same for your sloppily drawn conclusions.
Ignorance and fanaticism are ravenous. They require constant feeding.

If the boot fits, wear it.

Did I say it was you? But your automatic acceptance that it is directed toward you speaks volumes.

So let me ask you a question; Is your response intended to communicate your tacit acceptance of the not so subliminal racism of the republican party?

Actions speak louder than words. Mitten has a vast amount of experience in deceit and telling outright lies, as well as side-stepping the issues. (Courtesy of and proven by his record with Bain).

One debate doesn't erase the truth.

The Troll

It wasn't a debate, it was a Cluster Fuck.  Jim Lehrer need to retire, Dementia has got him.     Turn in your debating mic Jim.

Romney came in as a bully, taking the debate away from old Jim.  Between Romney filibustering, lying, and staring at Obama with that goofy grin. :toothless:  Not looking at the audience or Lehrer, like some street thug staring down another person.  Old Bully Mitt.

Yes,  yes I'm pissed at Barack.  He let Romney just stand there and lie, flip-flop, flip-flop, flip-flop and lie, lie, lie and bully, bully.  And yes I have seen Obama at his better in  debates.  But when you understand that after three and a half years Obama hasn't had anybody to debate with.  Look at all of the people Mitt has debated with in that long, long, long Republican primary election.  :puke:  I thought it was never going to end.

I hope in the next debate they come up with someone younger and awake than Jim Lehrer.  And I hope Obama with get out of his shell and call out Mitt on all of his lies and exaggerations.

This debate did prove something, Mitt Romney is a liar in the first degree.  Mitt :no1: Liar.

Henry Hawk

excuses, excuses...

Mitt was just flat out sharp and prepared.  He spoke with confidence.  Obama is not used to people telling him he is wrong.  He was flustered and looked very, very un-presidential.

Don't blame Lehrer.....he asked the questions and he let them duke it out, and obama got knocked around.

Just admit, Mitt is much sharper than you realized or WANT to admit.

Romney told a flat-out, blatant lie - TWICE. He said that Massachusetts schools are the best in the country.

This is a subject near and dear to me. I have been very closely involved in the Maryland public school system for several years. Both of my children went to school in Maryland and one of them is now a teacher here.

Maryland's public school system achieved top-in-the-nation status for the fourth consecutive year, according to an analysis of state-by-state education policies and student achievement being released Thursday.
