The question is, are we better off now than where before Obama was elected?

I think so, since Obama was elected I got back my $63,000 I lost under George W. Bush.  I am enjoying the tax cut Obama and the Democrats got for us.  For the shit sandwich and the fall sack of garbage (the economy) that George W. handed Barack plus the Republican house of Representives the Party of No!  I think Barack has done one fine job. :yeah:

Golden MItten, all he has to off is Trust Me and tax cut for the Super Rich.  Doing away with the Capital Gain tax.  This would help Mitt Romney in a big way.  Instead of paying 14.3% on his income of $23 Million with his plan he wouldn't pay nothing, Nada, not a dollar.  What is so bad the Sheeple Republicans think this fair and want it to happen.

And his friend and fellow candidate is a bald face liar.  He even lies about how fast he can run a marathon.  This liar lies about everything.  What is so bad is, the Republican Sheeple think that is alright.  That is what America needs is a draft dodging, tax cheat and liars running this country.

^^  And the sad part about that picture is that it applies to almost half the damn people in the country.

Figures you'd like that comical little dude.

Irony alert!  Let me know if I need to explain it to the cheap seats.

Looking back at history past and present these is only two Republicans I have any respect for.  Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt.  The robber barons thought they had "Bully, Bully' Teddy in their pocket.  John D. Rockefeller, J.P. Morgan, Andrew Carnegie and all of the other greedy Republican Millionaire thought they had him in their corner.

Not so, he broke up the monopolies, one of the best breaking up Standard oil.  Can you see the Republican Party breaking up the monopoly of the oil companies how.

Things sure have changed since Theodore Roosevelt.  The Robber Barons we have now is the whole Republican Party.  The party of the Millionaires and the Billionaires and let us not forget the Republican bought, The Supreme Court of the United States of America.  If the Republicans win after the war on the middle class and women is, because they were bought by the Millionaires, Billionaire and the Predatory Corporations.

. . .

Honestly, in some respects I am,but in others I am not. (I refuse to go into the details).

As for those areas where I am not, I lay the blame for that squarely upon the doorstep of congress; and specifically those tea-partying conservatives who somehow thought it was acceptable to hold our social safety nets hostage to their political ideals and agenda. The very same faction responsible for the trashing of the nation's credit rating, and saying "NO" to every single bill that came before them; even when those bills were rewritten to include those aspects they objected to, or to meet their demands.

They have prolonged the recovery of this nations economy, and facilitated the actions that brought the economic decline in the first place. And somehow the sheep want to automagically hand them back the reins of power despite their blatant proclivity for pandering to the rich and wealthy, and corporate Amerika?

Not me buddy. I will vote every single incumbent out of office with the exception of the President.   Let's see how they survive with no job and with only 26 weeks of unemployment to live off. (As if those rich bastards in congress have no nest egg).

I have no problem with what you say.  Here in Indiana I vote straight Democrat and vote to kick all of the incumbent out of office.  :yeah:  :salute:

Calling Romney/Ryan a ticket with VALUES. LOL. They keep their values in the Caymans, don't they?

The democratic national convention clearly demonstrates the party's message of equality, acceptance, and the need for change are not just talking points, but the creed of the majority of Americans in this country. The Democratic party walks it and talks it.

When will the republican party get this?

I saw more diversity in one night at the DNC than was on display in the entirety of the rnc. (It clearly demonstrates the underlying theme of racism within the rnc's platform is clear and present to anyone who does not hold to such nefarious views).

Hell, yes!

Four years ago we were on the brink of another Great Depression. The housing market had tanked. We were losing jobs at the rate of 750,000 a month. We had two wars. The Dow Jones was at 6,000.

Damn right we are better off!
