Another bat-shit-crazy republican speaks out ....

"I'm thinking the worst," he told Fox34. "Civil unrest, civil disobedience, civil war, maybe. And we're not just talking a few riots here and demonstrations. We're talking Lexington, Concord, take up arms and get rid of the guy."

...County Judge Tom Head, Lubbock, Texas

Now I know 'me' and Henry have trouble reading and will accuse me of making this up .....

Isn't it wonderful how republican candidates bring out the best in the party?
Ignorance and fanaticism are ravenous. They require constant feeding.

Yes, it does.
That wasn't one of the speeches, it wasn't a debate, it wasn't in front of the podium and it still wasn't an elementary school visit. It also does not show him reading it. Those a common personal ones are not.

Quote from Obama....Feb, 2008.
"And I believe that if our government is there to support you, and give you the assistance you need to re-tool and make this transition, that this plant will be here for another hundred years.  The question is not whether a clean energy economy is in our future, it's where it will thrive.  I want it to thrive right here in the United States of America; right here in Wisconsin; and that's the future I'll fight for as your president."
Our Government WAS there, a democrat controlled government....they did nothing....and it DID close.  there was no lie.  Obama DID say that...and the plant DID close.
. . .
To fairly evaluate Obama's statement, at least two pieces of context -- missing from Ryan's account -- would be useful: First, that Obama wasn't telling this plant that he'd save it from a pending closure. He wasn't addressing a plant that he knew to be closing, because the closure announcement didn't come until four months after his speech. Second, although the plant's last bit of production stopped early in Obama's presidency and the plant remains closed, the closure was planned before Obama became president.

. . .The Detroit News pointed out that Obama made no such promise in the February 13, 2008, speech, and indeed, we've seen no account suggesting that Obama did. Here is the quote at issue, according to an account kept by the Council on Foreign Relations:

"I know that General Motors received some bad news yesterday, and I know how hard your governor has fought to keep jobs in this plant. But I also know how much progress you've made -- how many hybrids and fuel-efficient vehicles you're churning out," Obama said. "And I believe that if our government is there to support you, and give you the assistance you need to re-tool and make this transition, that this plant will be here for another hundred years."

By "bad news," Obama apparently was referring to GM's February 12, 2008, announcement that it had a $38.7 billion adjusted net loss for 2007. . .

. . .June 2008: GM announces that the Janesville plant will stop production of medium-duty trucks by the end of 2009, and stop production of large SUVs such as the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban and the GMC Yukon in 2010 or sooner, depending on market demand.

December 23, 2008: SUV production ends, and more than 2,000 GM workers are laid off, according to the Gazette. Medium truck production continues.

April 23, 2009: The plant's medium-duty assembly line, which produced an Isuzu line, closes, ending vehicle production at the plant and resulting in the loss of 57 production jobs, according to the Gazette.
GM then put the plant on standby, meaning it could reactivate the facility if it decides it needs to ramp up production.

Proof that Ryan was spinning reality by truncating the content of what was said to make it support the view he wanted others to take away from it.

. . .
That is exactly why GM suspended Chevy Volts productions....there are not enough people who want it.

. . .

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Chevrolet Volt's August sales are expected to set a monthly record for the General Motors plug-in hybrid.
GM spokesman Jim Cain said the company expects the Volt's August sales to top 2,500, the best month by far since its December 2010 launch. That would mark a 35% increase over July sales and more than a 700% jump from year ago results.. . .

There goes that argument. . .

Clint Eastwood should have just stayed home.  His speech sucks.  I can't believe they actually allowed this crap at the convention podium.  Almost unbelievable.

I thought it was rather clever to do it as though he were speaking to Obama actually.  Hell, he even did it stuttering a lot like Obama does.

It was a disaster.  Even the pundits are saying it.  I can't believe they staged that for the last hour before the prime speech by the nominee.

It was basically a comedy skit not something serious for petes sake.  Don't tell me they're analyzing it like it was supposed to have been a serious speech. I know they're probably saying he's gettin' senile and can't hold a single thought and all that garbage because they don't have enough sense to realize it was done on purpose.

Is that what they're claiming? Because the Romney camp was looking pretty mortified. Maybe they were stupid enough to believe it too.

Clint Eastwood was freaking magnificant!  He was completely genius and hilarious.  I have spoke to at least a dozen co-workers and family, who feel exactly the same.  Fuck the stupid ass "pundits".....this whole convention was very, very good.  It energized the republican party....it does not matter one iota what you guys on the left think, or WANT to think, but the Romney/Ryan express is plowing through!
