London (CNN) -- Energy giant Total was trying Wednesday to contain a gas leak that forced the evacuation of a platform off the coast of Scotland.. . .

  You don't suppose the faulty blowout preventer didn't work again.   :wink:  Or they got in a hurry and for economy reasons thinned the drilling mud.  But I'm glad it didn't kill nine workers like BP killed.  I'll bet one or both of the two thing I stated is the fault.   :groan:

  Well it finally taking place.  Romney a guy no Republican wanted now looks like he got the job of running for president.  And just look at all the ass kissing that is going on.  Everybody is climbing on the wagon hoping to cash in if Romney wins. :biggrin:

  All it takes is money.

  After spending $158 million in 2011 for lobbying, the oil and gas companies got the Republicans to vote down the bill to stop the oil subsidises.  It must be nice to spend some millions $$$$ to save billions $$$.  Who would have thought the Republican would have voted against that bill.  The Republican say it a tax increase.   :rolleyes:

  I guess, it's all about the money.   :biggrin:

You cannot, no matter how hard you try, lump a whole group of people into one category and label them like ya'll are trying to do.  Remember Robert Bird was head of the KKK so does that mean all Dems are racist?  Using your type of reasoning it would.  Statements like this are just gettin' waaaay out of hand and creating problems where none exist and I am not referring to Santorum's remark either.   

As far as Santorum's remark I can only say Santorum is an idiot and I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him.  He's kind of smarmy like John Edwards IMO.

talk about propaganda.....there is NO way he was going to use that word.....he stumbled, but I do not believe for a moment that that was the intended word....he has been around WAY to long to go that direction...but, he said enough to have gullible folks jump on the bandwagon and thrash him for it.

That would be political suicide.....and all conservatives would drop him like a rock IF he DID use that word.  IF, there were any truth to it.....it would/should cost him and justifiably so.

HH as much as I hate to disagree with you I think they're right on this one after listening to it several times and a couple of others that were out there. I remember some dems getting caught referring to him in that manner during the dem primary and I think maybe Santorum may have been thinking about that. Still doesn't excuse it but it might explain it.

He MAY have been...and if he did, then he is finished.  Very few from the republican party would endorse him if this IS true...He is NOT going to win any nomination anyway.  I just get tired of the folks on here who act like the dems are NOT racists and the repubs are.....it is all political BS...and the left is brainwashed into thinking they are above racism.

I go with what I see and hear in this case, and clearly the jackwagon meant to say "Government ******", and there is no getting around that. What possible other "N" word could he have intended to say? Government nipple, government nag,. . .  :rolleyes:

You can explain it away all you like, but it is what it is. Now perhaps he felt so comfortable up there opening his pie-hole that he forgot where he was at and reverted to his private mode of speaking; but you cannot un-ring the bell. And he smacked it with a 20 pound sledgehammer!

And for your information, my commentary was indeed a generalization of the repugnican party but a well deserved one. I would submit that it is very likely they are not all lucidly racists, but their steadfast and blind support of candidates and political platforms that clearly are, earns them the moniker.
