Fuel, not petroleum, was the top export in 2011.
Fuel is the defined product of petroleum....we are refining and exporting it.........there IS a difference....and part of the reason WHY we are leading in exports...because we are refining it.

  If we are making so much fuel that we are exporting it, why does the oil companies say that every driving season there is some what of a shortage of gas and diesel that this is causing the raise in the price of fuel here in the U.S.  :doh:

  If anyone has the slightest bit of intelligence, nobody in their right mind is going to buy the Republican propaganda that Obama is the cause of high gasoline prices.  Nice try Hawk, but you're not fooling anyone here on the Zone.  :kissit:

So. . . why are we refining it and exporting it instead of pumping our own supply lines full????

If the theory that withdrawing more oil via more wells and offshore rigs is valid, then why aren't we seeing a decrease in fuel prices domestically?

  Henry is out of ammo, dead in the water.  Doesn't have a leg to stand on when it come to blaming Obama for high gas prices.  But as long as Turd Blossom lies and makes up lies and Henry believes them, I guess we will have to suffer here on the zone.   :rotfl:  :rotfl:  We know Henry isn't smart to dream up all of this shit by himself.  :haha:  :haha:

It is a world market....are demand is down with the economy...people are not driving as much.  Folks in other countries are willing to pay more for it, so THAT is a reason why prices are high.  We fix our economy, it will HELP drive down the price.

That does not change the fact IF we send a message LOUD and Clear to OPEC and the middle east, we are going to find our own...IT will, with zero doubt put pressure on them to increase production and thusly lower the cost of crude oil.....

More spin. The fact is one of the intrinsic drivers to the current inflation of petroleum product pricing is the fact that speculators and investment firms are now in the game and controlling the availability of crude here in the US.

That is a fact, and one I've provided evidence of at least 2-3 times here in the last year or two. Combine that with the exportation of refined petroleum products and the fact a bird farted in South Africa, and you have the formula for what we are seeing right now at the pumps.
