I have to agree with you.

Had that cut been for the 1%'ers they'd have passed it in record time too!

The 1% & 99%

Number of Households
Richest 1%    1.4 million
The other 99%    140.8 million

Average Income per Household
Richest 1%         $1,370,662
The other 99%    $58,506

Average Tax Cut per Household
Richest 1%         $66,384
The other 99%    $1,463

Source: Citizens for Tax Justice, U.S. Census Bureau

"Households" refers to the number of tax returns submitted in each income group.

Average tax cuts are calculated based on the extension of the Bush tax cuts signed into law in December 2010.

Income figures include wages as well as capital gains, dividends, and other types of income.

I simply CANNOT believe that information hasn't raise the ire of everyone here!

That shows just HOW screwy this country has become economically when 'bought & paid for' representatives give tax cuts to the top 1% that surpass the average YEARLY income of the other 99%.  BAH!

It's the political slash and burn 'scorched earth' policy.  It's un-American and racist, and I consider it treasonous.  Anything to prevent Obama's re-election.

The thing that pizzez me off the most is that there are PLENTY of legitimate issues over which to criticize Obama but they don't want to raise them because the Right's hands are all soiled on those self-same issues.  BAH!
And the legitimate reasons are his policies and that does not make anyone racist.  People disagreed with Billary Clinton's health care bill too and there wasn't all this stink about being against women.  This president is no different than the others he's just a man whose policies are disagreed with period so quit with the racist thing. Why keep making it a white vs black thing when it isn't.  Obama has people of questionable background appointed as Czars and associations that would have raised the ire of many had he been Republican but no one on the left seems to mind for some strange reason.  Almost everything has been done behind closed doors since he took office and ya'll believe him on what took place without knowing for certain you just blindly take his word for it and if Bush had done that you would have screamed foul from the tops of buildings.  WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!

The top 1 percent of income earners paid 38 percent of all federal income taxes in 2008, while the bottom 50 percent paid only 3 percent. Forty-nine percent of U.S. households paid no federal income tax at all....in 198, when the marginal rate for those 1% was 70% tax rate, they only accounted for less than 18% of all federal income taxes....they have doubled that amount with those rates at the 35% level.
The bottom 50% in 81 paid about 7.5% of the federal income taxes.........now they pay less than 3%.

Pffft!  I've shown again and again how the Right's hatred of Obama has roots in racism.

Now Obama has disappointed me greatly, but unless the Dems or those crazy-arse Repugs put up a better candidate - and I surely don't think the Repugs have anyone but nutcases on their agenda - I'll either vote for a decent 3rd party candidate if I don't think the election is going to be close and if it is close I'll hold my nose and vote for Obama.

It's like I said somewhere else around here.  It's more than amazing that the Tea Party members rise from mere couch potatoes to "in your face" political activists just happened to coincide with the first election of a man of color to the office of the president.

He's got too much invested in his conservatism.

He owes his financial soul to a family business, and he's defended every moronic candidate and his/her positions on this forum to the point where it is impossible for him to recant any part of it; hence, he blindly stumbles forward, doing his best to spin it -- not for us, but for himself. He wouldn't work so hard on the spin if he really believed it. "me," on the other hand just has no compassion for anyone. If it doesn't profit her, it is a bunch of sh*t, and all that money that goes to help someone besides her, makes her outraged. If she really used the language she thinks, she would be unsafe at any speed on any forum. Yep, "me," i AM capable of reading your very small mind.
