  Got a question, 150,000 manufacturing plants left the United States since the year of 2000.  Just think 158,000 plants left the country to China, Mexico, Canada and many foreign countries.  This is because of the free trade treaties of NAFTA, WTO and many other third world states.

Really?  Which books on macroeconomics have you read and who are these people with such great understanding?  I'm guessing the only people you talk about such things with are those with whom you share your warped perspective of how it all works because you clearly aren't open minded enough to actually learn something on the subject that differs with you preconceived notions.

take a quick look in the mirror Ex....YOU seem to be the one who is not open minded.  I admit I am soundly set on certain ideas....but, I do not rule out other ideas that make sense.

Raising taxes, during a time of economic crisis is pretty simple to figure that it is not a good thing....the fair tax, is pretty easy to understand and has pro's and con's...but the pro's out number the con's....in my opinion.

That is all I am doing on this forum......suggesting my opinions.....you have yours, and you have yet to prove yours have any bearing without being insulting..so, I don't waste time with you.  If you want to approach this in a reasonable fashion and prove that the fair tax is a bad thing, then I will listen to you.

Raising taxes on a small group of people who aren't spending the majority of their money anyway won't hurt the economy at all.  Using that money to lower taxes on the people that will spend that money will absolutely help it, though!  That's what's easy to understand.

  Two wars, an unfunded drug plan and give a tax cut too the riches people in the country.  You want to cut taxes and cut cost.  What I don't see where your plan will work in a real world.  Hawk
