You are so uninformed and blind it boggles the mind.

Bush is the one that used his executive powers to change the TARP fund rule so that it COULD be used to bail out the auto companies and your precious unions.

The same rules that applied to the auto makers to receive TARP funds also applied to the banks. Just a few minutes research would have shown you this but you'd just rather spout your liberal lies and rhetoric.

If you would pull your lips off the democrat party's ass (pun intended) you might be able to see things as they really are.

I noticed your little slur about my precious unions.  Well Circle Fly, the unions really work hard to protect the working man and women and get the most benefits for their people.

You're a UAW raised kid tell me what your dad would have done without his union benefits.  Like Blue Cross, Blue Shield, paid hospital rooms, Xrays, CAT scans and care and the UAW drug plan where he could buy any medicine he needed for $5, for each prescriptions.  Even if the cost of that medicine was a $1,000.

How if you dad had lived long enough and he got to the place of being put in a nursing home.  He could have used that old nasty Democrat benefit, Medicade which would have paid for his stay for as long as he lived.

How would you dad have had it with your nasty plans, your precious Republican Party and Ryan has planned for the old, sick and dieing people.

No you can't see that, because of your blind hatered of the UAW and all unions.  All I can say to you Circle Fly is :azz:

Now don't let this question glue your big broad mouth shut.  Just what would your father have done without this Union benefits V/S what your precious Republicans plans for the old, sick and dieing people.  Explain yourself Night Hawk.

And this crap just keeps getting better and better. It seems that Chrysler is not really paying back the debt with their own money. It is actually taxpayer money, funneled through Fiat, to pay back taxpayer money.

http://washingtonexaminer.com/blogs/beltway-confidential/2011/05/truth-behind-chrysler-s-fake-auto-bailout-pay-back

From the end of the article:

Please tell me, just how stupid and how much of an ideologue and propagandist are you?

It's already obvious you don't like research if it conflicts with the propaganda you're spewing.

1)  The Washington Examiner?  Really?!?!?  That RW rag is so bad they have to give it away, and you go so far as to use an opinion blog from there of all things.  So much for you knowing anything about sources.

2)  Did you even bother to check where the WE acquired their information?  From yet another opinion blog, TTAC, one whose writers have been excluded from major manufacturer press events.

Here's the pertinent paragraph that shows the lies from them all the way down the line to YOU where YOU regurgitated them above:

http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2011/04/the-chrysler-coincidence-bailout-loan-shuffle-to-help-fund-fiat-takeover/

Now, technically the DOE loan program is supposed to be used for specific, qualifying retooling projects, so Fiat can't literally take the DOE money and use it to pay back the government loans.

So, literally, everyone down the line to, and including, YOU is lying for political points.

That lets us who and what you are, doesn't it.  ; )

OK. My family went 5 years where my father did not work a union job. During that time my mother got sick with cancer and had an eye removed and a couple years later died of liver cancer. We didn't pay one cent for her care as the owner of where my dad worked paid it all.

In fact, dad did end up in a nursing home AFTER the wonderful GM insurance decided they didn't want to pay any more and every dime he brought in a month went to pay the nursing home.

As for these 'evil' corporations that do nothing but screw their workers, I work for one and can speak as to the kind of insurance I have. $20 co pay for office visits. No matter how long a hospitalization is it would only cost me $200. Prescriptions are at most $20 no matter the original price.

My daughter needed a hearing aid. The total cost of the hearing aid was almost $200. We paid out of pocket $120.

My son plays baseball and hurt his shoulder. He went to a specialist, had xrays and an MRI and will have to have physical therapy and this will cost me $20.

So don't give me your shit that the only way to get good benefits is to join a union. I have great benefits and don't have to pay extortion money to get it. My mom got every penny of her care paid for by a non union company. The only place I had refuse to cover anything WAS a union shop.

An this evil company I work for has started profit sharing and nobody had to 'bargain' for it. They just did this all on their own.

You don't get it do you?

It doesn't matter if god or the WSJ agrees with you, the fact is:

"...Fiat can't literally take the DOE money and use it to pay back the government loans."

That trumps everything.

You feeble minded attempt to search for someone to help you defend it only goes to show how far you'll go to defend a lie.

Any questions as to what that says about you?

If you would have bothered to read the rest of that paragraph you would have seen:

But freeing up $3.5b in capital that would otherwise be spent on retooling with low-cost loans will make it infinitely easier for Chrysler to secure the $3.5b in debt refinancing it needs.

Which means they can use the DOE money as it is meant to and free up 3.5 billion in capital funds to do with what they want.

That doesn't make any difference either.

The lie was they were taking those funds and using them to pay off the loan.  They legally cannot do that, which no matter anything else makes the lie.

Just swallow your medicine, frown, then grin and bear it.  A little intellectual honesty please.  ; )

Yes, they have to use that DOE money for a specific purpose so they simply put the DOE money into that program. THEN they take the money that was allocated to that program and shift it over to an account to be able to repay the TARP loan.

It is simple book keeping tricks and not that hard to understand.

Paying extortion,  if you mean paying 2 hours a month for your benefits and not having to kiss ass, suck ass and brown nose your boss so he will like you and maybe give you a raise.  I know a lot of salary nonunion people and I have been told by them how low and humiliated it makes them feel to have to suck and brown nose the boss, especially when he's wrong.  So don't give me your stupid shit.  Meathead. :finger1:  I'll bet you have to wear dark brown makeup on the rest of you face so it will match your brown nose.  Right?

If a union is so great now why do they have to threaten people who don't want to join?  My daughter was threatened and so were some other people because they didn't want a union at a place she was working in Fisher's.  She and the others told the people who threatened them to bring it on and if anything happened to them or their property, namely vehicles, they would be the first people looked for.  Unions have turned into nothing but extortionists and even the union my ex worked for has gone to crap in the last few years because his nephew is now working for them and the representation in nothing any more you just pay your dues and keep your mouth shut or you won't be working because the union rep won't send you out on any jobs.  The days of unions being for the worker are gone Troll they are now totally corrupt and just after the money period.

That's your opinion Honey dipper.  What is your daughter, a hired scab trying break the union?  Most likely she is or the people wouldn't say a thing to her they would be trying to help her.  Is she a company rat trying to find out what the employees are saying and thinking.  So she can slip into the companies office an rat everybody she thinks is not behaving the way the company wants them too.  I've worked with suck ass scabs who even claimed they were union.  But every time you look around they were sitting on the bosses lap ratting everybody out.

Honey Dipper you sure lived at the union benefits trough.  Sucking it for all of it's benefits.  Didn't you.  Never pass up something that's free.  Always looking for something free.  Just like your topic on free coupons, something free.

I don't think a person should have to join a union.  But they shouldn't get union benefits if they don't pay their bill for it.  I myself wouldn't trust a scab working with me because sometime during the day I will have to turn my back and have the son of a bitch stick a knife in my back with his or hers ass sucking with the company.  Sorry, that the way I feel.
Honey Dipper.  Just like I wouldn't trust you Honey Dipper as far as I could throw my F250 Super Duty Crew Cab pickup truck.      Letting a true scab work within a union is just like picking up a rattlesnake.

It's just like the story about a guy who saw a half frozen snake laying beside the road.  He being a good guy he pick up the snake and put him is his pocket to warm up.  After a hour or so he took out the snake out and the first thing the snake did was stick his fangs deep into the man's hand.

The man was quit surprised and said why did you bite me after I save your live and made you warm with the warmth of my body.  The snake cocked his head and said.  Hell, you knew I was a snake when you picked me up.  That's what I do, is bite.  Then you wonder why we and I hate scabs.

We've been over this before. I am not telling you anything that specific. Sad that in your little world it is impossible for a good company to exist in this world that are not union controlled.

I don't care if it only costs 1 penny a month it is still extortion. Forcing anyone to join an organization against their will just to get a job is simply wrong and, to me at least, an infringement of my freedom of choice. In my experience anyone who has to 'brown-nose' to get advance at their job cannot make it on merit.

Are you talking about Paul Ryan's plan? If so, read these to articles for a better understanding of what his plan really means for Medicare:

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2011/may/25/agenda-project/throw-granny-cliff-asks-what-country-would-be-with/

The left spins this into a plan that literally trows grandma from a cliff

The right spin it into the end-all, save-all of budget plans when it is not.

The truth lies somewhere in the middle.

At least it is a start. it is not perfect, it may hurt to implement it and will have to be tweaked and changed but people have to realize that the age of entitlement is coming to an end.
