The Troll

Hey, American Free Traders.  Have you seen how many automotives plants have be shut down at GM and Ford.  No parts, no engines and no black paint.  Because of the problems in Japan.

What would happen to America if the Chinese cut supplies to America.  Hell, they would have to shut down Walmart.

 Indeed. . .

One need only look to Toyota and Honda to see the same impacts as well; those plants also being idled by the supply chain interruptions due to the earthquake. (Shlbyvlle shuts down 4/1)

One could also choose to see this as validation of the existence of a "global marketplace" as well. . .

I heard some where that Honda and Toyota said that when they started up again they were going to concentrate on foreign sales and sent the cars they make here, overseas.  Sure like that American loyalty. :4th4:

I guess they think that they have the American market cornered and the Americans will wait for the foreign cars.

Isn't it good for us if they sell the cars made here overseas?
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

Those cars companies were over here to use our cheaper labor to build car for Americans.  And even tho they didn't win war II the sure won the war against the American cars.

As far as money, they work our workers for less money and benefits, send the cars overseas and send the profit home.  Yes, they send the profits home to Japan.  Just another way to suck the life and money out of America.

But some FREE TRADERS don't see it that way.  All Honda and Toyota pay for is America cheap labor and keep all the money for it's self.  How good is that for the America economy.  With the deals the state government gave them, they don't even pay their fair share of the taxes on the plants here.  The state governments let the taxpayers pay their taxes for them.  Another good deal for them.

What kind of a car do you drive and why.

QuoteHere's how the ultraconservative news site NewsMax.com described Sarah Palin's Monday night criticism of President Obama's address to the nation:

"Are we at war? I haven't heard the president say that we are at war. And that's why I too [don't know] do we use the term intervention, do we use war, do we use skirmish?"

Problem is, that's not quite what Ms. Palin said. What she actually said on Fox News was, "[D]o we use the term intervention, do we use war, do we use squirmish?"

Squirmish! I love it.

The Palininstas out there will point out that Obama (like everyone else) occasionally fractures the language but the "lamestream media" doesn't pounce on that, and by the way "squirmish" appears in the Urban Dictionary, and everyone knows what Palin meant and why are we focusing on a simple slip of the tongue instead of the worst president in history and blah-de-blah, but come on: "squirmish" is fantastic. In fact I'm thinking it SHOULD be a word.

It's a perfect description of one's hesitancy to get into a dispute over an awkward situation. "I don't want to get into a squirmish with my kid about his latest Facebook posting." "My boss overheard me dissing him. Boy did that lead to a squirmish."

Well played, Sarah Palin. Well played.

Trump this

Elsewhere on the no-chance-to-be-the-Republican-nominee front Monday night, Donald Trump did a phone interview with Fox News Channel. The Donald had a mediocre connection — he's worth a billion and he can't get a decent landline? — and he yelled into the phone like a senior calling from Del Boca Vista to report THE WEATHER IS JUST GREAT as he rattled off his conspiracy-theory questions about Obama's birthplace.

On Tuesday, Trump released his official birth certificate to ABC News after the document Trump had provided to NewsMax was revealed to be a certificate of live birth, which is not the same thing, and can't we all acknowledge that both Obama and Trump were born in the USA and move on?

That sound you heard was a small but considerable percentage of birthers chuckling at my naivete. I can see the same old questions (all of which have been answered) rolling in already.

My question for the birthers: Do you have any evidence, any evidence whatsoever, that Obama WASN'T born in the States? I mean, all these years and all this effort questioning the Hawaii "story," why not devote some time and resources to uncovering the supposed truth?

I am embarassed that she's the same gender, but if I were a Republican, I'd be doubly embarassed. She's a nitwit.

As for Trump, is anyone seriously stupid enough to take this media-whore seriously?

Can you name a democrat who is not "embarrassing?"

I agree, it is a difficult task these days to find any candidate of ANY party that does not have 'SOMETHING'...for the media or press to have a "hay day" with.

As far as Trump.  I agree with you, he is ALL about "getting attention"....I wish he was serious, I think who COULD have something to offer, but I don't think I could completely trusth him.

Are you set for the circus that is about to hit town?...it is going to be a fiasco... :)

Yeah, you're right about a hayday.  I have followed politics for over 45 years and I got to say one thing.  This is the most pathetic group of Republican candidates I have ever seen.

Thought the last group of presidential candidates were bad, this group surpasses anything I have seen. :rotfl:  :rotfl:  This bunch is worse than a dead horse.  :deadhorse:  I praying  for them to get worse and it seems like it is.  :grin2:   TRUMP :no1:
