Yes, it is. Why else would you care? The pols gotta find a new non-issue to whip us all into a frenzy, now that gay marriage is quietly becoming legal in more and more states, and nobody gives a rat's ass who burns a flag.

Without some emotional stupidity to set us at each other's throats, we might suddenly realize how fat our politicians are becoming on our money -- they ain't worried about a  social security meltdown, they have no nagging doubts about the health of their pensions, and no matter how broke the post office is, they will never buy stamps.

Why on earth would anyone care where a bunch of idiots who are scared of ghosts lift prayers and votive offerings to their pet neurotic deity -- so long as they don't do it on the fifty-yard-line during playoffs?

to me it is just plain simple and so clearly wrong.....an example, It is perfectly legal and Constitutional for me to go into an all black church wearing a white robe and use the N word....but I SHOULDN'T do it, all rights aside, I would be profoundly wrong, and have enough respect and sense NOT to ever do such a thing....the people of NY City and America as far as that goes, has said as much, they do not feel this is the "right" thing to do....and yet, it is being done, almost with a thumbed nose.....

Opponents to the building of this mosque need to pay a lot closer attention to the overall picture here. You may or may not support what this group plans to do with the property they own, and that is your right. But at the end of the day the bottom line is how I feel or how you may feel about it is irrelevant. What is relevant is the fact that this country was founded in part upon freedom of religion, (or freedom from it), and that is an absolute right extended to all by the constitution. Period!

Attempting to interject personal feelings as a means of influencing authorities to create some kind of exception surrounding this unquestionable right, is insidious territory to tread upon. Allowing it to come to pass would be like removing the keystone from the foundation of this entire nation, and when the tables are turned upon you in the future, and make no mistake if this is allowed to happen then they will, you will regret your actions and words in this day.

As many have stated here in the past; "Its the Constitution!"

I agree, but it does NOT mean we have to like it, or that we should NOT encourage this to happen.....and the very right to disagree with things we do not like is at the core of our Constitution...

again, not one person is claiming that it is un constitutional, nor are the saying it is against any law.....we are merely exclaiming, that the location of this mosque is NOT one that the majority of Americans are in favor of, and we are questioning the motives behind this move....
