Under the same circumstances, yes.

So where is your outrage and opposition to this Jesus statue in the memorial park in Oklahoma City? That was a terrorist site and action that was perpetrated by a Christian American!

This is America and our principals, in particular the one surrounding religious freedom, apply equally to everyone.

I wonder if you would feel the same way if it were a Christian group building upon that same privately owned piece of land?

it would depend on the motives, and WHO exactly was funding it, and for what specific purposes....

I believe that this mosque has NOTHING to do with freedom of religion or tolerance....it is nothing more than a slap in the face and to think that this is an attempt to reach out to build a bridge between Americans and Muslims is being gullable...

btw, McVeigh was a self-proclaimed agnostic.....labeling that act as a Christian Terrorist is a bunch of made up, liberal media bullshit....

So, the fact that the 9/11 terrorists are reflective of the Muslim community as a whole is Conservative media bullshit.

Why not give the Muslims the same break you give murderous Christians? "They aren't REAL muslims".

So prove they are up to no good or fuhgettaboudit! You cannot prove it! If they were up to no good then the feds would have already uncovered that!

You are entitled to your beliefs and opinions, but those are not the laws. Believing it and saying it do not make it so.

McVeigh was brought up a Roman Catholic and regularly attended daily mass at Good Shepherd Church in Pendleton, New York. He requested a Catholic Chaplain for his execution. So despite the conjecture his final request for a spiritual advisor supports his belief in Christian values and his upbringing.

Please elaborate surrounding circumstances. Nothing changes whether it is a Christian, Muslim, or Satanist group. Religion is religion.

So you are saying you would be opposed if this group sold the property to a Christian group who wanted to do the same thing with the property?
I said under the same circumstances.  You just don't get it do you?

"ME"  you full of bull shit,  the mosque is four blocks away and unless you get way, way up you can't even see the damn thing.  I am an atheist and I don't give one damn about religion.

But, I do give a damn about our Constitution and freedom of religion is in and any religion is protected by it.  To hell with what supposedly 70% of the so call Americans that want to do away with our Constitution.  You Republicans are always screaming about being free and the freedom of the American Constitution.

All of this is a Red Herring to get the sheeple minds off of how bad the Republican Party has screwed the American people and all of the jobs they destroyed.  Plain and simple, it's all bull shit.
This has nothing to do with politics at all.  If it did I guess that would mean 70% of America are Republican and the Muslim's are Democrats.  That doesn't even make sense Troll.  There are Democrats against this too.

I am not in the habit of asking for something unless I am serious. Now, if you refuse to clarify then I am left to assume the worst.

This little incident validates the fact you use a selective filter in reading and investigating or research. You only see what supports your position, even if it is proven wrong.

I think that is a very poor anology....He was NOT acting on any Christian belief....

Let's ask you a question....what if someone wanted to put a Timothy McVeigh Memorial across the street from the Oklahoma bombing site?

How is it a poor analogy?! McVeigh represented Christian values just as much as the 9/11 terrorists represented Muslim values!

As for the TMcV memorial, have at it! I'd spit on it every time I passed it, but they can put one up if they want to!

Exactly, PH! They want a pass on the "not real Christians like, McVeigh, Phelps, and the abortion clinic bombers, but can't see past their double-standard to give the Muslims the same lattitude.
