It's a sad state of affairs when someone can't have a difference of opinion without being ostracized.  It would seem that's becoming the norm rather than the exception lately though.

Am I the one who is wrong me?  All I have done was state my opinions and apparently "I" am in denial...and "I" am a "know it all"....."I" am just "pissing and moaning"...but HE is giving credible facts.  Does a friend attack another friends religious beliefs?  Talk about no sense at all.

We are all entitled to our opinions and beliefs and people will never agree on anything 100%.  If everyone suddenly was of the same opinion about politics or religion we would then be true sheeple and blindly following along just to keep from being different and outcasts.  Unfortunately there are some who just don't see that.

I think it's normal for everyone to agree on things that are obvious and for which empirical evidence exists.  For example, if it's raining, I expect everyone to agree that it's raining.  Those who would deny so under those circumstances are either very stupid or crazy.

Ah, but you can prove it's raining when it is so that isn't even the same as agreeing on policies which are yet to be implemented or the outcome of certain ways of handling things.  Nothing can be fact until it has already happened period.

I think Ex is saying that when there is empirical evidence that something is correct, regardless of what it is, then anyone who doesn't agree is either stupid or crazy would agree.

He's not saying that you can't have a difference of opinion, but an opinion is only as good as the evidence and facts that supports it. Kinda full circle there.

it seems though we have a conflict on what "emperical" means on here...if a democrat declares their opinion with any article attached to support thier thought....it is emperical....If anyone on the right attaches proof of any said statement...it is just talking points.

One example I have given is the global warming issues.......IF the IPCC states anything it is emperical..........when they have been proved to have falsly given information....it is quietly dismissed.  Or if the UN declares something it is somehow emperical, even though they have been proven to have some disingenuous ties with information.

as far as opinions is only as good as the evidence and facts that supports it....I agree, but that seems to not hold water except for the facts presented by the liberal crowd here.........but that is just an observation....nothing emperical. :no:
