The Troll

Just remember good people, this all have been started by the Republican and The Teaparty dirty tricks teams.

All to make OBama look bad and Muslim.  The man that started this project worked in hand and hand with the FBI on the handling of Muslim prisoners and also this in NOT AN MUSLIM CHURCH,  IS NOT A MUSLIM CHURCH.

So everything you have heard about this is all bullshit.  Anyone to against the Muslim project is against the American Constitution.  Screw the stupid bastards.  Can I put it any clearer, let me know and maybe I can say it LOUDER!

Economy LOST 283,000 jobs during "Recovery Summer" months.....Unemployement rose again!!...we are going the wrong way guys....we spent nearly a trillion dollars...

I thought this was supposed to be when our economy was to start ramping up?....with all of the stimulus money and the "public works projects"...folks, summer is about over...and the recovery is NOT showing any signs of taking root....

the best thing that could happen for Barack, is that the repubs get control of the house and senate, get some practical sense restored to America...and do the common sense measures to restore our economy...we are down to 120 days until the Bush Tax Cuts expire, so if we can stop that from happening, spark some consumer confidence, and get the folks on Wall Steet to begin investing again,  the people just might allow BHO another term, but IF this economy stays south, he is a one-term potus...

No one is saying that nothing should have been done....just the steps taken was putting the trust into government and not the people.  I think a "stimulus" is putting the money back into the hands of the entreprenuers and the working people of this country...let THEM decide how to best invest OUR money...in the forms of tax cuts...not permanent, suspend them for a year, to free up money to be spent or REAL economic growth...to stimulate confidence by the consumer.

you don't trust big business, I don't like big business, but I most certainly do not trust or like big government...all of this "pork" spending is just a way for these politicians to pay back "those who now want favors returned"...they are supposed to be law makers, not investors.

Why are the Republicans turning down the bill that will help these small business men and women.  Hummmm.

Well HELL, maybe because they are listening to Americans, and are TIRED of more reckless spending...the dems has spent MORE than the cost of a 9-year Iraq war, in the last 18 months...

the question I have, where was a bill to help small business several months ago, NOW, the election is approaching and NOW they are acting like this something they really need to do...all the repubs are asking to add some amendments to the bill and to remove some of the pork that is attached....the dems want everything their way and expect the repubs to cave in and give it to them without any compromise...and bitch when the repubs fight back...hmmmm

Yeah ... and how's that working out?

Companies pile up cash but remain hesitant to add jobs

Corporate America is hoarding a massive pile of cash. It just doesn't want to spend it hiring anyone.  Nonfinancial companies are sitting on $1.8 trillion in cash, roughly one-quarter more than at the beginning of the recession. And as several major firms report impressive earnings this week, the money continues to flow into firms' coffers.

This is all true, and IF the dems could spark some consumer confidence, they would let some of that money go....but the facts are businesses do not trust what our government has been doing, with all of the spending, ie Health Care Bill, Stimulus that has not worked...as I have stated maybe if they would have "cut" taxes instead of printing money and spending it on pet projects, these guys who have the real money would begin to invest....

this is what I have been trying to say forvever now...

Really?

GOP CONSIDERS BLOCKING JOBS BILL IT AGREES WITH.... Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) would, by all accounts, like to see the Senate take up a jobs bill when members return to the Hill on Monday. Senate Republicans intend to block Dems from even bringing the proposal to the floor for a debate, and Reid does not yet have the votes to stop them.

But the amazing part of this is that Republicans actually like what's in the modest jobs bill. GOP leadership aides met behind closed doors yesterday with more than 100 corporate lobbyists to discuss strategy, and according to Roll Call, Republicans are leaning on waffling members to block consideration of a stripped down, $15 billion jobs package for reasons that have nothing to do with its merits.

Given the divisions within the GOP Conference -- and the fact that Republicans have largely backed most of the bill's provisions in the past -- leadership aides told lobbyists that the GOP plans to attack Reid's bill over process, rather than policy.

"The feeling is they aren't going to say anything in opposition to the bill, except to say it's incomplete," a lobbyist who attended the meeting said. "They are not opposed to the bill, they just believe their rights as the minority have been abridged."

The GOP's willingness to reject the ideas they support continues to be almost impressive in its scope.

Reid wants a clean bill and an efficient process, so he's pushing for a vote on a jobs bill with no amendments. Republicans have decided that Reid's approach hurts their feelings, so they'd rather play partisan games.

this is what I have been trying to say forvever now...

And this is what I have been saying ... the Republicans continue to try to block every Democratic initiative that comes up - EVEN TAX CUTS!

"Vice President Joe Biden held a roundtable discussion with workers and small business owners at Pete's New Haven Style Apizza, a local restaurant in Washington, D.C., that has benefited from the small business provisions in the Recovery Act, as he argued for passage of a bill that would provide tax breaks and a $30 billion lending fund for small businesses.

The bill has so far failed to overcome a Republican filibuster in the Senate, but it has been scheduled for another vote when Congress returns from its August recess in mid-September.

An opinion with facts to back it up. Notice there were no pictures of luxury "U.S." prisons in the article?

Tell us, Henry. Did the Republicans continue to filibuster the tax cuts to small business even after all amendments were stripped from it?

Henry, it is not a blog. It is an on-line magazine. And it not only provides links to it's sources, the links are nested. You can't have opinions about facts.

Henry, why did you attach a link to a page listing the requirements by state to register to vote, to this tired old rehash that the POTUS didn't pull off the miracle of making unemployment mess go away? Did you forget what you were talking about?
