A California Federal Appeals Court ruled that the women could sue Wal-Mart in a class action.  Where WalMart pays women less money than men doing the same work.

Ladies we all know that men are worth more at work than women, at Wal-mart.  It's been like that for years, why change.  We all know that women can out shop men.  But out work them?????

I can't see why anyone would want to sue poor old Wal-Mart.

What do you think Ladies.  Sue or not to sue, that's the question?

My wife works for Wal-mart in Jane, Mizzouri, she makes more than a lot of males. And she is on the entrance level, and has been there only 6 months.

Are you saying that since your wife may be a brighter bulb in that store.  That Walmart has teated all of their female employees fairly.

With a turn over of 51% to 53% in employees each year.  They sure are not taking care of any of their employees.  I would like to know how many of their people ever get to retire from that company and now long do you think you wife is going to last.  Do really think she might get to be store manager.  I bet, NOT.

Even though all of the Walmart store are controlled by the main company in Arkansas.  They want to say that each store stands alone.  Making its own policy.  B.S.  it is to keep out the unions.  If you have ever noticed, every law suit won by the employees, have been paid for by Walmart.

Ya know what Troll, unions aren't the be all and end all of every business in the world.  The woman I know who works in Muncie is a store manager and the one I know who works at the one in Fl works for a female manager so don't even try that "women can't advance" without a union crap if that's where you're goin' with that statement.

The fact appears to be that Wally World has been oppressing women for a very long time, and states that have an "at will" status surrounding employment are playgrounds for this type of abuse. Non-union environments are fertile ground for entities that engage in such practices, and when they exist in at will states its like pouring miracle grow on them; they go wild.

I was a staunch anti union person until I came to work in an at will state. In states like this one, the union is the last bastion of protection from such practices, since they'll fire you for nothing as it is and get away with it.

Such treatment of women is a hot button for me. This one really pisses me off, and if it proves to be true I may have to stop shopping at Wally World period!

If Walmart is such a "bad" place, then why don't ALL those who don't like it STOP shopping their?

I rarely go their, not because I don't like the Organization...but, I don't like the one by my home...it is nothing but Anderson's finest...I don't like their meat and produce....and it takes forever to get through the check out....

I choose to go to other establishments when I can.

Prices. The key words are, "when I can".

Most do just that, but when you are on a fixed income and/or jobless you go where the prices are the most favorable to your budget. . .

Why is it that Walmart can break the law and get away with it in your view, but illegal aliens MUST be dealt with in the harshest of manners?

IF, they are breaking any laws...then they should/will get punished...they have not been to court yet.

Wal Mart is onna firing frenzy right now, everyoins works in fear. i personally have know the Walton Family since 1985[I lived next to 'em]. I worked for Sam Walton when I exited the Army in 1986 he made me sign an anti-union statement to get employed, being a single parent I took the job and devalued my ethics, I quit within 7 months to do resturaunt mangement.
