She actually was instrumental in starting all of the problems.

Yup. The old divide and conquer strategy seems to have backfired on the GOP. . . And their poster bitch will not STFU and go away. . .

http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/sarah-palin-calls-out-trump-s-carrier-deal-warns-against-n691426

An unexpected dissenting voice came out Friday against a Trump administration brokered deal to keep a Carrier plant in Indiana and save around 1,000 jobs.

Former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin in an op-ed for the Young Conservatives website called the deal, which was reportedly negotiated by Vice President-elect Mike Pence, an example of government intervention that could lead to "crony capitalism."

Palin said in the op-ed "I am ecstatic for Carrier employees!" But she wrote that while she didn't yet know the full terms of the deal, the negotiation could signal an abandonment of fiscal conservatism and stimulus packages that, if pursued, would mean the country is "doomed."

She's still riding the VP wagon from almost a decade ago!

The number of jobs saved at Carrier is closer to 800 than a thousand.     I'll bet grabbing Sarah by the vagina, Trump would find something very large.     With all the kid she has had.  :haha:    :groan:

I posted here last week that it was 730 and that's what it is.

Lets get right down to it.  He actually hasn't saved ANY JOBS as of yet. He has had discussions w/carrier.... He isn't the POTUS, but has already talked Carrier into staying here and ALLEGEDLY, keeping 700 to 800 jobs.
Lets give him a chance........funny how all of the experts are so quick to slam him, even AFTER he has done something positive.

According to Greg Hayes, chief executive of UTC....His words........"We keep the plant open, we keep 1,100 people employed in Indianapolis. We still get to do the preponderance of the restructuring, which we were going to do anyways,"

Let's just wait and see, but it seems like the LEADERSHIP of Trump is influencing a positive for the people of Indiana, and the business world in the USA.

The Attention Whore Palin is the one critical of the Raging Cheeto's game plans surrounding the "Carrier" deal. And while it pains me to say this, (you have no idea how greatly it pains me), I partially agree with it.

In fact, this whole deal smacks of skullduggery.

What happened in this "deal" is that Carrier just laid out the basic game plan for a hybrid of what Congress has been doing to the 99%'ers in this nation for nearly a decade; holding the taxpayers hostage for ransom.

7 million dollars (+/-) in exchange for retaining a number of jobs. TAX dollars. And in the background while the Cheeto and Anti-Christ were crowing about the deal, they eliminated a number of other jobs in the state that nearly doubles the number saved; netting Carrier the desired labor savings costs, the tax write offs for the shutting down of those businesses, and a "windfall" of 7 million (+/-) on the backs of TAXPAYING citizens. (Welfare)

The whole thing is ironic in that the Anti-Christ, Cheeto, and their henchmen have all stated their intense desire to eliminate/drastically reduce the social safety net programs of this nation, including Social Security, as a means to "reduce costs". In reality what they are doing is nothing short of stealing from the poor and giving it to the wealthy, faceless, soulless, corporations of Amerika. And forcing the 99%'ers of this nation to fund it all. And the ignorance based election results now ensure that they have the absolute control of the government necessary to implement it all.

While I am happy for those employees that will benefit from the "deal" by enjoying their continued employment, I seriously question the purported altruism of those brokering the deal, and with good reason.

I have interviewed at least a dozen of the individuals that would have been impacted by the Indy Carrier plants closure. All of them were benefitting from generous separation packages and "stay-bonuses" that motivated them to continue within their positions until the final day of work there. To the point where they refused offers of employment that provided compensation at of slightly above that which they enjoyed with Carrier.

We have all seen nearly a decade of obstructionist politics that negatively impacted the least amongst us, nurtured the oppression of the average worker via the reduction of compensation and benefits levels, and held the meager social safety nets funding hostage to the political ideals of extremists. All while they pandered to the corporate entities of this nation and their business interests.

These political interests are now set to take the reins of power in this nation for the next 4 years. How exactly is this going to benefit the 99%'ers of this nation?

Well lets get one thing straight first, Bush was the one that initiated the bail out before Obama took office.....so it isn't like he was brilliant...but, in hindsight, it all turned out for the good, so I give Kudo's to Obama (something you said I never done)....I think it could have been handled other ways, but this is what happened...it was his call and he gets the glory....but he also did things like giving nearly a billion $$$ loans to Solyndra that failed....cost taxpayers.

Sooo....yeah.

Have you even followed what has happened in years that followed the Solyndra thing on which you Repugs like to focus?   As of 2014, that program is now operating in the black despite an initial 2.2% loss rate.  Yet you don't hear anyone talking about that, right?

If it is, it is NO LONGER Solyndra...according to wikipedia:

Solyndra was a manufacturer of cylindrical panels of copper indium gallium selenide (CIGS) thin film solar cells based in Fremont, California. Although the company was once touted for its unusual technology, plummeting silicon prices led to the company's being unable to compete with conventional solar panels made of crystalline silicon.[1] The company filed for bankruptcy on September 1, 2011

Between 2009 and mid-2011 the price of polysilicon, the key ingredient for most competing technologies, dropped by about 89%[1]. This precipitous drop in the cost of raw materials for Solyndra's competitors rendered CIGS technology incapable of competing. On August 31, 2011, Solyndra announced it was filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, laying off 1,100 employees, and shutting down all operations and manufacturing.[22]

In September, 2011, the company ceased all business activity, filed for bankruptcy under Chapter 11, Title 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code, and laid off all employees.[2][3][23] The company was also sued by employees who were abruptly laid off.[24] Solyndra was raided by the FBI investigating the company.[25] Federal agents visited the homes of Brian Harrison, the company's CEO, and Chris Gronet, the company's founder, to examine computer files and documents.[26] Also, in September 2011, the US Department of the Treasury launched an investigation.[27] Bloomberg reported in 2011 that Solyndra's $733 million plant had whistling robots and spa showers, along with many other signs of extravagant spending.[28]

Also in 2011, a US Department of the Treasury official confirmed that the criminal probe of Solyndra is focused on whether the company and its officers misrepresented the firm's finances to the government in seeking the loan or engaged in accounting fraud.[29] Newly revealed emails showed that the Obama administration had concerns about the legality of the Department of Energy's loan restructuring plan and warned OMB director Jeffrey D. Zients that the plan should be cleared with the Department of Justice first, which the Department of Energy had not done.
The emails also revealed that as early as August 2009, an aide to then-White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel had asked a Department of Energy official if he could discuss any concerns among the investment community about Solyndra but that the official dismissed the idea that Solyndra had financial problems

We aren't going to pay them $7 million.  They will get $7 million in tax breaks over a 10-year period as long as they invest, which they plan on spending AT least $16 million back into it's facilities here in the State........seems like a pretty good return to me.
