I did not hear his comment or her explanation on giving him a pass but I'd bet it had something to do with the context of how it was done or how the word was used.

Did you just give him and her a pass based on some vague reason without even researching to see what the sequence of events was?

You see, good science doesn't buy that kind of conclusion without research. Schlock science has inadequate research to reach erroneous conclusions. Kind of like creationism and intelligent design.

Look it up. (The sequence of events was what I meant; although a deep study of the other subjects and evolution wouldn't hurt.)

I really can't believe you just called FTW a liar.

I truly don't believe Henry realized what he said.

I'll give him a pass.

So a private remark is fair game for her, and worthy of attack, but a public insult is ok?

Oh, yeah.

POLITICS!  Oh, yeah! That's right! Rahm is a democrat and Rush is a republican!

How crass and classless can you get?
That "private" remark was given in a speech to an audience and on camera so I'd hardly think it fits the true private label.

No I am saying I can't comment on why she gave Rush a pass and got upset about the other remark.  I do believe that comment about Rush and being given a pass was a throw in because we had been talking about her getting upset over that idiot show.

'Family Guy' Voice Actor Says Palin 'Does Not Have a Sense of Humor'
By DAVE ITZKOFF

Andrea Fay FriedmanAndrea Fay Friedman, who has Down syndrome, was a voice actor in a recent episode of "Family Guy" criticized by Sarah Palin.

Since it was shown on Sunday, an episode of the Fox animated comedy "Family Guy" has drawn the repeated condemnation of Sarah Palin, the former Republican governor of Alaska and 2008 vice-presidential nominee.

In the episode, the teenage character Chris dates a girl named Ellen, who has Down syndrome, and who tells him over dinner that her mother is "the former governor of Alaska." Ms. Palin, whose son Trig also has Down syndrome, has said that the "Family Guy" show "really isn't funny" and was the work of "cruel, cold-hearted people." Ms. Palin's daughter Bristol has written that the "Family Guy" writers were "mocking my brother and my family," and called them "heartless jerks."

One person who supports the "Family Guy" staff is Andrea Fay Friedman, the 39-year-old actor and public speaker who played Ellen in that episode. Like the character, Ms. Friedman also has Down syndrome.

In an e-mail message sent on Thursday to The New York Times, Ms. Friedman wrote:

I guess former Governor Palin does not have a sense of humor. I thought the line "I am the daughter of the former governor of Alaska" was very funny. I think the word is "sarcasm."

In my family we think laughing is good. My parents raised me to have a sense of humor and to live a normal life.
Take time to smell the roses.

Thanks, Kimmi.

I appreciate the info, but "me" should have searched it, which is the point I was making that was totally misunderstood: the continual assumptions about what "must have been" instead of taking the time to verify.

That's why I don't bother to get involved in these discussions very often.

I absolutely, positively REFUSE to do the research for someone else.

I do too much of that elsewhere.

I just am too stupid to understand what you mean abut the "throw in."

Who threw what in?

Are you saying that whoever threw whatever in had no relevance to the thread or the context of the thread or the "idiot show" or the idiot Rush, or the idiot pass, or the idiot getting upset, or am I the idiot because I can't follow what comment was made about Rush?

Anyway, it probably won't matter, because I won't be able to follow the explanation, so it is useless, due to my being a liar and stupid and hating Palin and Limbaugh and......................

Don't paint yourself with their brush loaded with the broad-strokes of ignorance, that they leave just laying anywhere. They're trying to paint us all with it and failing miserably. . .

Yup, she did. She's basing all her judgments on WHO says it, not WHAT is said, remember?

I read the statement at the first of the thread but isn't the thing with Rush a separate deal that has nothing to do with the show and what was being discussed about Palin's reaction to it?   And the show is an idiot show any way you slice it and I have no clue why anyone would think it's even remotely funny and I thought that from day one so it wasn't a recent opinion.

And weren't all those situations connected because of the use of the word "retarded"?

And didn't Palin bring up the whole discussion herself?

And isn't the title of this thread generally about her?

So whatever is "thrown in" is relevant, isn't it?

And now I'm tired, 'cuz my head hurts, 'cuz I've been trying to think too much.

Which I shouldn't.

And since I didn't hear Rush's comment or her reason for excusing it nor did I hear the one that was made that she didn't excuse wouldn't it follow that I couldn't comment on that part of the conversation and that I was just commenting on the show and why she didn't take to that too well since I have heard other things which were said about her and her family?

Next move might be to research the whole enchilada before taking a bite.

Or, if that's too much, ask.

Someone might be willing to fill you in.

'Course that would mean trusting some arrogant liar.

Ya know I think, since I did hear a clip of the show in question, I could comment on that part and since I had heard the many other things that have been said and jokes and put downs about her and her family I can pretty well comment on that part and voice an opinion about why she might have been so upset about the show.  Did I not say I cannot comment on the Rush part of it when that was brought up?
