Why would I get pissed about what you think is appropriate conduct for your daughters?  Hell, I'm almost embarassed for you.

did I ever say that this kid's actions was appropriate?....no, you are just really trying hard to be a wise guy or funny..and you are losing...I am seriously becoming embarrassed for you (btw, you misspelled embarrassed  ;) ) and the fact you are wasting so much time trying to put down a little girl who did nothing wrong, other than make a few stupid mistakes, hell, have you been watching the way YOUR POTUS has been acting lately?.....

and another thing leave my daughter out of it...

How can you say "she did nothing wrong" and "I never said her actions were appropriate" in the same run-on sentence?

It isn't about your daughter; it's about what you consider appropriate behavior for her.

Lack of critical thinking skills.

Did I already say today that Carrie Prejean is a slut?   :icon_twisted:

I believe in some circles it is referred to as (my apologies to those this is going to offend) bimbo-itus!

Heck, I have a friend who was in a bar just this week, and the 3 (count 'em, three) bimbos working there could not figure out how to use a corking tool for the wine bottle! He had to do it for them!  (It is more prevalent than you might think!) :spooked:

...The only reason to have a "marriage" recognized by a government entity is to protect property and children of the union...

For years I've been telling people that marriage isn't about love, religion, or any of those other concepts.  It's contract law.  Marriage is a legal contract which is basically concerned with property rights - which oddly enough includes the progeny.

Unfortunately you get yahoo's who want to say marriage is the construct of whatever supernatural uber-man (usually Caucasian) they believe in and the thread which holds society (translated = Caucasian, x-tian, PWM-dominated, etc.) together when that is a far cry from the fact of the matter.

If they actually understood the marriage contract, they would understand why no one, or groups of people, of legal age and sound mind should be denied the ability to enter into it if they choose.

so?

this is the thing that bothers me with "you" guys....Christian KIDS make mistakes like everyone else....it is people like YOU, who think that Christians put themselves upon a pedestal...the only difference between a Christian kid and a non christian kid.......is one believes that Jesus is the Son of God....and that God has a path for his/her life.....I think there are NO "squeaky" clean kids, no mater WHAT they believe in....

The usual x-tian justification.

No accountability - that's exactly why x-tianity is a morally bankrupt system and Sola Fide ("by faith alone") is a morally bankrupt doctrine.  It's why x-tianity can hardly be considered a moral system at all.

...and the ist's cannot understand why the unbelievers see them as they do.

Hank,

In more numerous places than is feasible to quote you've referred to Ms. Prejean as a "kid".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrie_Prejean

Birth name    Caroline Michelle Prejean
Birthdate    May 13, 1987 (1987-05-13) (age 22)

23 in approx. 6 mons..  Just how is she a "kid", or is that just your way of spinning propaganda in her defense since she claims to be a x-tian, anti-gay marriage (and that term is SO ridiculous), and a darling of the RW conservatives (read reactionary)?

If she's just a "kid", she's unassailable, right?

Ya know no one has ever really answered a question I've asked in a lot of these threads.  Why, just because someone has a different opinion than you, are they automatically tagged as stupid or an idiot?  I don't think you're stupid or ignorant because your opinion or beliefs happen to be different than mine, a little strange maybe but not stupid.  Muslims believe differently than me but I don't automatically tag them as stupid for their beliefs I just don't see things the way they do.  Same with gay's, people who have different political ideas, different lifestyles, whatever.  Just because someone doesn't think or believe the way you do means they're an individual with independent thought processes who doesn't view things the same way you do.  They've had different life experiences which means they have a different view of the they world and even though it may not seem right to you it is their view and they're entitled to it and it makes them neither stupid or an idiot.  What is it that you don't understand about people are less receptive to your side of the discussion and less apt to remain in the discussion if they're talked down to and belittled for their opinions.  I thought discussions were to present each side of something not to demand that the other side see things the same.  I look at your side and you look at mine and we/you either see a point or we/you don't and we/you either believe what we/you've presented or we/you don't.  We/you say why you don't/do agree and move on.  I'll be amazed if I ever actually get a sensible answer but I can't help but try because I'd really like to know.

It isn't just a difference of opinion that makes christians out to be morons, it is that they ARE morons.  Now, having said that, they really aren't morons, just very dishonest to themselves and everyone else.  You have to constantly lie to yourself to keep believing the crap you do, and that makes you very morally bankrupt, as stated earlier.  You can't be trusted as you constantly lie to yourself, and everyone else.  So, you aren't crazy or stupid becuase we don't agree with you; you are crazy or stupid for believing such bullshit and expecting everyone else to, as well.
