I always liked the Cowboys in the Tom Landry days.....but when Jones bought them and Landry found out he was no longer the coach, by listening to the radio.....I no longer had ANY respect for the new owner...and have despised them ever since...

Yeah, Jerry is a hyena to say the least!

The thing is I'm not too sure the Irsay's are any better than he is either! They're just more secretive about how they do things, and already demonstrated to me that they are just as much a scavenger as the Cowboy organization, via their treatment of their fans and the citizens of the state.

wouldn't it be lovely if...

all the pro bowl players who were also going to the super bowl would suddenly......

pull a muscle, twist an ankle, or otherwise become physically incapacitated on the weekend of the pro bowl?

geez

I agree that the old man irsay was in the same league as jones....I am on the fence about the younger irsay.....I think as an organization, young irsay has done a good job of getting good people around him to build a winner.....ie...Polian (who has done a first class job of bringing "good" people to indy...and dungy able to bring in HIS kind of players to build a winning organization...for THAT I give him props....

as far as this last episode of "giving" up on winning games.....I am very disappointed in him.

And THAT is why the Colts will lose to the Ravens. . .

I think you are miscalculating Peyton Manning..and I think he is THAT good, that he will lead the Colts to a victory.......and least that is my gut feeling.

tend to agree with you here, hawk

You guys are overlooking the fact that the Ravens pretty much pounded their opponents yesterday on the offensive side by running the football; something the Colts are challenged in preventing.

On the Ravens defensive side I believe you are underestimating Ray Lewis and company, and their ability to get into the backfield and harass the QB; something that historically has been shown to be a key in defeating the Colts. Rattle Manning's cage and he'll freak out, throwing interceptions and ducks to the wind. . .

On top of this add to the mix the fact they've not really played in three weeks, and you have a huge potential for one of those "one and out" playoff appearances for the Colts.

Personally I would love nothing more than to see the Colts go to the championship round; but I am realistic about their chances of doing so. The Colts would have been better served had the Jets been their opponent this week. The Ravens are the worst possible scenario for the Colts. In my opinion.

Why does Jerry get a gate take?  The Super Bowl (and the Pro Bowl) is here in Miami.

I thought the pro bowl was being held in Cowboy Stadium this year? (I swear that's what the announcers said during the game this weekend).

Huh, guess that was wrong. . . figures. . . Still a stupid idea though.

Probably so.  JJ was promised a Super Bowl post haste once his new venue was ready.

Looks like Pete Carroll is heading back to the NFL.  This time, to Seattle.

You know, seriously....there is a good group of teams left....all of them are very capable of going, I think the jets are lucky to be there, but they have been playing pretty good....

I personally like the Chargers....and Farve and the Vikings are pretty impressive....the Saints have kind of hit the wall here lately....I hate the Cowboys, but they are playing HOT....IF, the Ravens get past the Colts, they are proving to be pretty damn hot too.....awwwwwwwwwwww......what am I thinking

DA COLTS!!...all the way.....Manning is going to prove WHY he is a 4-time NFL MVP!!  :icon_twisted:
